Should have realised Marybeth that that expression might cause confusion to non-Brits! and yes, CM, I do remember the frozen Jubblies, used to literally suck all the orange juice out of them until all that was left was a block of ice!

I know! By which time hands and mouth wd be similarly frozen!
Do you remember penny lollyices! Similar to jubbly but at least a stick to hold!
Ps lollyice in the North was ice lolly in the South!

Oh, and what about Pendleton's Twicers, think they were a northern firm that made lolly ices with an ice cream centre. 'What could be nicer than a Pendleton's Twicer.' I'll have that tune and catch phrase in my head all day now!

You people are hysterical. That's all I have to say.

Oh, and that when I was young, my brother briefly drove a Good Humor truck for a summer job. That probably only makes sense to you if you grew up on the east coast of the US. It's an ice cream truck (lorry?). What a job!
