Welcome one and all, this place is tardis-like and has infinite capacity for happiness and hugs.
It's actually not raining this morning hurrah hurrah, so my builder has arrived and put up a new back gate hurrah! This makes me ridiculously happy, though the clouds are once more writhing overhead.
Little grandsons arriving soon so playtime will begin :0D

Just come back from my routine 60+ health check. So, despite still being technically obese amd allegedly eating too much salt and drinking too much alcohol ( this based on the fact that I only drink 3 days a week rather tha every day) it seems my risk of having a cardiovascular event in the next 10 years is 5.9% which is not bad for someone who is cracking on 62 :victory:

I am one happy bunny!

Just had a few days with my 7-week-old grandchild, Oscar Charles. Our fourth, but my daughter's first. His pics are on my blog - shortly to be updated.

And tomorrow my wife and I will celebrate our 43rd anniversary.

Thought you'd like to see the words I've written on her card:

"I loved you then
I love you still
I always have
I always will."

B&W

Ps. I'm just about to put my SIL's bottle of port back in the cupboard!

Yippeee, I did it!
I have just completed my first 5:2 Fast and I feel terrific, but the best part was last night after having eaten the 500 calories for the day, whilst watching TV I was thinking I felt like a cheese and biscuit, but I told the feelings to go away and they did. I conquered!!
Many thanks to one and all for your support and this great forum.

Maggie.
