I hope it's not too late to join? I'm 68 next month, my two children are both in their 40s and I have four lovely grandchildren.

As well as getting my BMI below 25 and losing a couple of dress sizes, I try to keep my brain active by studying the MOOC short courses. I used to study with the OU but there was too much focus on exams and degrees which I don't need, now I can enjoy learning everything I missed out on at school and do the exams or not.

I can't do strenuous exercise but keep fit with dog walking and (a little) gardening, I love pruning, sowing seeds, weeding etc. but only in short bursts, my garden is now semi wild - more wild than semi recently!

That's me!
I hope I qualify for a place in the Sassy Seniors Sanctuary?

Welcome coffeetime
Good club here for all of us seniors who don't feel seniors
some are going for hoola hooping as a winter exercise, for me it will be some walking I'm not a complete fair weather walker but can very easy not bother, and recently dugout the indoor rope excerciser from many years ago they clip onto a door handle, so that will become my winter plan plus some walks.

 Candicemarie why do we do that the ''mini binge '' ?
When we know it's going to hurt both physically + mentally
I'm sure you'll do a great fast today to make-up for it.
My holiday damage of a 5kg gain well 1kg gone so now this week i'm doing 3 very cautious fasts, the ones we all did at the very start, so fastday number one of this week underway today
Take care everone, the storm has'nt devolped here at all so i will get ready to go for a mini shop. :clover: Sue. :clover:

Minimal storm damage here but some local flooding on roads as usual. OH got rather excited about the prospect of a good storm and woke me at 4.50am to tell me it had arrived and the road had become a river ... Mmmmmmmmmmm I said, turning over!
Half term week so hoping it's all dry for Wednesday so we can take grandson age 6 and his wingman age 3 somewhere jolly.
Going for a 21/3 fast day, probably shouldn't have mentioned it - don't want to jinx it. Weighed in at 71.1kgs today so really need a good one.
Have a happy day one and all :@)

Oh, and that when I was young, my brother briefly drove a Good Humor truck for a summer job. That probably only makes sense to you if you grew up on the east coast of the US. It's an ice cream truck (lorry?). What a job!

Mmmm.... I bet he had that job licked

My good news
I am now officially Mother of the Groom to be because my sons marriage proposal has been accepted by his girlfriend :like: :like: :like:
So I really have a focus to lose weight to fit much better into the Jacques Vert outfit I have already bought that is a size smaller than I am at the moment, but we don't know when the wedding is going to be yet. I am sooo relieved that my sons proposal has been accepted because I think he would have been devastated if it hadn't been.

I've had 4 Jacques Vert's for 4 weddings-a good choice. I always have a look in the local outlet village when I go and have one or 2 bargains that are ok for everyday wear.
