I just read a short free book that basically said:-
Eat slowly and when you are actually hungry
Eat colourful real food as much as you can
Don't eat sugar in any form
Keep your life real

I liked it

Thank you Azure...They make good Club Commandments for all the tents, not only us S S-ers but those of us also popping into the teeny titchies tent AND the Christmas Club/ 69ers tent x

Currently at my Ma's . She is 91 and I don't think she obeys any of the rules-and definitely not the sugar one!

My Mom is the the same though just a bit younger at 84, lol  . But then my mom is looking to gain a bit of weight.

PS. Nor is she over weight or unhealthy for her age and she has all her marbles.

I've just taken a peek through the keyhole at all you old, doddering folks. Easy, easy, just joking. I'll come in next year - less than 13 months till I qualify.

Perhaps someone needs to put up a tent for the Scorpios - there seem to be an inordinate number of us. Well, I do believe I have more in common with you lot (that's British...I'm hanging around so much I'm starting to talk like you) and with my peeps in the Really Short People Tent than with other Scorpios. Not putting much stock in astrology.

Speaking of the RSP Tent, @Eirlys please come join us there too!

That generation are made of stern stuff and very hardy! My Dad lived to age 96....strong heart and lungs til the day he died..
I recall him breaking his leg in his eighties and having to slow down for the first time in his life!

Um...yippee too? Shall we all plan a birthday party? On a day that isn't a fast day for any of us?

I would like to join you. I just turned 60. I can't believe it. Where did the years ago? I just turned around, and they are gone.

I might add, I haven't read all the 7 pages of posts, but I'm wondering, how are you doing on 5:2? I started today. I don't want to count calories on my "eating" days. Are any of you succeeding just fasting twice a week and eating normally (without counting) the other days? Thanks for any feedback.

Welcome @fivetwogal

I cannot lose weight with 5 2 alone. I need to stick within my TDEE on my non fast days and use my fitness pal to help me. It is a pain, counting those calories, but if I didn't I wouldn't have lost what I've lost.
As I've got older, I just seem to need to eat a lot less to lose - but I'm feeling fitter and better than I have for many years!

Are you in the UK?

Didn't you know that 60 is the new 40 so you're still a spring chicken! :chicken2: :chick:
