Well done on your fast today Nursebean :like: Wow Sue.Q back-to-back fasting you are a ninja lady thus your amazing weight loss success. I just about make it through one day and only cause I keep telling myself you can eat tomorrow. I do Mon+Wed and Fri and have made it through this week and today's fast but it was the most difficult week I have experienced since I began 4 weeks ago. Insane hunger, dreadful headaches and awful insomnia on my fast days.....
I didn't think I would be able to do it this week but I did yay ......

@skinnyli
Well done on getting through this difficult week you're a :star:
I've never had any of those side effects that must be a pain especially not sleeping, for me it's just as well considering the 100lbs needing to go at my start and that's setting my goal as overweight but I'll be happy to get there at my age
Obviously finding this WOL easy to me is the secret to my phenomanol successes of last year, its slowed down now but I just keep plugging away whittling a little off here and thereand gaining other health benefits that fasting brings to us. :clover: :clover:

Call me weird, but it's been a great fast when I go to bed and my tummy rumbles keep me awake. I turn on my side they stop.
I've sort of 4.3'd it this week with no food till tea today, but it was Chinese takeaway. Plus wine, plus Florentines made by my mum. GBBO.

@carrieoates you're weird LOL I hate having the tummy rumbles when I go to bed :curse:   it usually sends me on a late night eating binge!

Ok. Just completed my second week of 4:3. Big success was learning that I can exercise on DD's. It IS doable. Also, by tracking, I realized that veggies I have always thought of as "free" really do add up on a DD. Cucumbers 45 cals. I knew carrots could add up, but even celery and radishes can add up. Soy Sauce has calories. On an UD not an issue, but learned about how I might have been sabotaging my success last time I tried 5:2.

Next week I go back to teaching, so I hope that will make fasting easier not harder. My big goal for the year is to fit exercise into my teaching year. It is my goal every year, and it is awfully tough. Maybe this is my year.

Thanks for the posts, everyone. It is so helpful!

Thanks Sue.Q and you are right this WOE is easy. I can make it through a few days of headaches and insomnia esp when I get on the scale and see a downward trend. Yes Caroline that is a little weird LOL but I do get it
When I did Dukan and tried WW I would lose a little weight then stop and I found I was always hungry and always craving certain foods I was hating getting older now I feel free and am finally realizing getting older is not so bad  And best of all I enjoy my weekends again cause I don't think of food esp the food I cannot eat all the time

D'you know, I think you guys in the 4:3 tent have really hit on something! Having weekends free is just wonderful. I had two of my favourite meals over the weekend (macaroni cheese and spaghetti...not together I hasten to add) but now I'm getting back down to earth...and my Monday fast! Oh boy

Hi everyone
Yes nursebean weekends off are amazing glad you enjoyed it, personally I indulged or should I say over indulged in my fav food this weekend too, chocolate   and with great trepidation stood on the scale expecting to be at least 2kgs heavier but to my amazement and utter joy I was up 800g  ok so nearly a kg but firstly let me say I weighed the lowest I have in 2 years on Fri so, 800g means I am still on a downward trend eating without any reservation. I keep saying this and feel I cannot say it enough but this WOE rocks and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it :like:

It really is so helpful, especially if you have regular sports or social commitments over the weekend. I did ADF for some time but switched to 4:3 as it fitted in with my life so much more conveniently.

Well done weighing your lowest for a while @skinnyli :like:
Yes nursy it is brilliant to have the weekend free to socialise or enjoy a family celebration or just enjoying eating whatever we've not had in the fasting week, glad its fitting into your life@nursebean your ADF seem really hard core to me
I'd personally prefer to do back2back.
Day one of our 4:3 complete and yes I'm going in again and doing back2back with tomorrow, then a cautious Weds as I forgot to get on the scales on Friday and believe me I shouldn't have done so today  but at least I now know I've got to put in a good week to come out on Fri with a smiley face. :clover:
