No weight ones I'm afraid, but given that I am hidden in a luminous tent, aka my uniform, no one would notice anyway! However, one bloke yesterday told me he thought I was between 35 and 40 (49 actually!!!). After I checked he didn't have a guide dog or a white stick, I thanked him and said it was probably because I never act my age!!

Hey @PennyForthem
I bet the kilted sausage man showers you with compliments! X
And ,like gilly, i think you look fab x grrrrrr!
well hoping to get them once the weight starts coming off - will pop in for an overnighter in the tent once they do. I hope! Great thread
My sisters complimented me the other day. Oldest thought that I was wearing size 8 jeans! They are size 14 but fit me perfectly and I found in my closet that apparently a few years ago when I bought them that I liked them so much I had purchased the same style jean in a size smaller (positive thinking that I was only going to be size 14 for a very short while ). Well, after going on to size 16 and verging on 18, I am now about 5 lbs from being able to wear the size 12 in public.
Non of the men in my family says a beep, even though I do at times shove my weight loss down The DHs throat - to absolutely no avail And the dogs (all three of them) couldn't care less.
But my very BGF commented the other week how much Iess of me there is, that the cluck-cluck chin was gone and my "gorgeous" cheekbones" are back And my GF at work constantly tells me how much I have lost (in kg) and how good I look and the girl who sits next to me told me it was time to get new, smaller trousers LOL.

My next door neighbour came in the other day and said, "Blimey, you don't need to lose any more weight!" He is a man: so I shall take that as a compliment.
I was talking to another mum at football on Sunday, and she said she couldn't believe I'm going to be 50 this year (I'm going to assume she meant I looked younger )
Well I have to say a HUGE thanks to all the lovely compliments I have received today from this very forum. After my rather long post on reaching maintenance today, the support has been fantastic from you all.
A male colleague was very complimentary today today on my success, he does very well on saying the correct thing
It took 2 stone off when I finally decided to cough up and gets clothes that fitted. In one day, compliments came in. Nothing before this

Just had the classic at work this morning, female colleague.
Walks towards me, asks, have you lost weight.....
My reply, yes thanks, 3.1/2 stone...
Is it evil of me to walk away with a smurk as she wasn't sure what to say next
This is a colleague who I work with as well

many years back I was on WW and had lost over 2 stone - had a girl at work say the same to me Minigill and I said yes, only got another stone to reach my target at WW..... silence then she said - yeah thought you had and walked off ..... no well done or anything - I was gutted... but then I thought to myself - 'JEALOUSY'. and that sure cheered me up
I suppose this is a back handed compliment; recently took clothes to be dry cleaned and paid in advance. When I went to collect them, the assistant (who was, say, mid - late 50s) told me that when I became a pensioner, I'd get a reduced rate. I told her I'd become a pensioner a few years ago! (as I'd paid, didn't get the reduced rate, though!)
Hi all
I agree with the comments that it generally takes some new clothes before colleagues and friends notice. (Especially since I have always chosen loose fitting clothing that hides gains and losses of several kgs.)
I have had a few people ask "have I lost weight" followed immediately by "did I intend to?" (A concern that the weight loss may be due to illness, I think???)
The best compliment has been from my new physio and a dog-walking acquaintance who called me "quite petite" in the course of conversation. Well, I certainly have NEVER been called that before, and don't think that I really am at the moment either, but still, it was lovely to not be seen as a bigger person.
But my younger son says I will always be a fatty to him... Charming child!
And both my mother and sister have said that my arms are scrawny and that I am in danger of looking like a pinhead... Tho my sister did later apologise for those comments.
Ah well, we takes the good with the bad!

You can always rely on family to say the right thing can't you?!! Not jealous are they by any chance?
I've had several compliments from people over the last couple of weeks saying how well I'm looking, followed by don't lose any more weight. But the thing is I lost all my weight (just short of 2 stones) between Jan and July last year, since when I've been maintaining!
