 Well it's close to 5pm and I've resisted all temptation on my much needed fastday  even iced my xmas cakes couldn't have pinched the icing yyukk
but like @carorees nearly tempted with the marzipan a few days before when doing that job  always nibbled on half a block while putting a little on the actual cakes.
time to slowly prepare the evening meal I think  Sue
Marzipan... bleugh....
Never tempted there.

But here's more gastroporn, possibly for @Debs

Cripsy chicken skin.... crispy turkey skin, crispy bacon, crispy crackling.

STEP AWAY FROM ANYTHING CRISPY PENNY.
Hubby and I finished off the box of chocolates today, with a cup of tea, that we had started after dinner on Saturday (it was a special dinner) and hubby said he fancied some crisps! Now that was his downfall in the past and he's done SO well losing one and a half stones in the past three months (he won't post he's too shy). Must hide the crisps.
I hope the temptation tent is for glamping because I will be spending a lot of time in it! Lol! Thankfully we don't go overboard food and drink wise - looking forward to my bottle of Bailey's which was a present last Christmas and I put away for a later date! Didn't realise it would be a whole year and I'd be 4 stone lighter!
@tickatape Thats a fab story about the Baileys whooooohooooooo!
And yes yes yes of course... for us glam gals nothing but Glamping will do! X

I love marzipan...previous years have seen me eating the leftovers...probably a clue as to how I reached 16stone!

Me too Caro! Marzipan is dangerously scrumptious
Thanks for handing it in ..and be sure it will be safely destroyed! X

PLEASE don't destroy the marzipan - I'll take it. I will skip my turkey meatloaf and spaghetti squash and salad fasting dinner tonight so I have enough calories allotted for the marzipan.

I know what you mean tho...i feel i'm walking on egshells..so much to avoid consuming or to try to eat as little as poss of it
The fasting will help so much tho! X
Today it was a half pound bag of fruit jelly sweets, actually I think it was a pound bag, which I shared with my sons and deliberately left the remaining half a bag in the door compartment of his car.

Then, we went to B&M (discount shopping) and picked up 2 Jamaica Ginger cakes, 2 golden syrup cakes and two Soreen malt loaves. I hang my head in shame. I have all of them, bar a malt loaf tucked out of sight and hopefully out of the reach of temptation for a long time. I don't even know why I bought them, except that they were tremendous bargains.

THEN, yes there is more, we went to the Cash & Carry, where we picked up a reduced bag of Liquorice Allsorts, the Bassetts brand ones at that. Nothing too wrong there I hear you say, except it was a shop supply bag, a 3kg sack of them. Luckily they are to be hubby's present, but I just know that I will end up eating a fair proportion of them in the coming month.

I have just decided that my New Years resolution is to NOT eat any of hubby's Liquorice Allsorts. This is not a challenge to see how many I can eat between Xmas and new Year either, I will also attempt to not eat any between Xmas and New Year.

The magnum of cheap rose champers is to be our secret too.

@Julieathome
You are deffo a jelly fan coz yesterday it was jelly babies and today fruit jellies!

I might have to send The Temptations round to confiscate your cake stash
( yes that fab Motown group are now employed by me,who'd have thought it,Smokey Robinson helping our tent out! )
That might seem outlandish BUT there is a little bird tweeting away outside as i type...its a dark winter late night in the centre of the city..how mad is that?what on earth is happening with our wildlife :(
Back to the cakes etc..ive told Smokey to leave theAllsorts coz they are for hubz..
And i will have to put the rose under lock and key for my own private consumption..no of course not for me, for your own goodJulie! X
I thought I would need to visit earlier than this.

Is baking on a fast day a good idea? Actually I was doing OK - shortbread, mince pies (made with coconut oil pastry - I'll try one tomorrow), chocolate truffles and rocky road.

Every thing was fine, it was all done and put away in tins without me giving in to eating any of it.

The last thing to do was cut the rocky road into squares to put away.

Now that stuff tends to crumble a bit when cut - what did I do? I ate all the crumbs!!!!!! :frown: It probably equated to one whole square - at least 100+ cals.....there was a lot of crumbs!!

I had used 250 of my 400 cal fast day allowance (my TDEE is 1600) so bang went the rest of my day's allowance - all for the few seconds it took to eat those lovely, chocolatey, biscuitey, marshmallowey crumbs.....mmmmmmmmmm
Temptation comes knocking today at my door!
Going for a Christmas lunch with friends from our socalled " slimming club" ...all we do is eat and drink..
My plan for today...eat just half of what i want to eat...hmm or maybe two thirds!..
Good luck @Daydreamer21 i know you too face temptation today..
Heck, don't we all face temptation every single day darn it!
