Yeah Phil @philxjr totally agree about all the lovely support on here! X
And corned beef legs? Maybe it' s a generational thing..when we were kids and sat by a real fire, often making toast on it ( toast made on a real fire is gorgeous!) Anyway sitting there too long gave you red blotches on yr legs..for some of the older folk, who sat by the fire for hours on end, knitting and moaning ( my Nan did anyway! ) ..well the red blotches didnt go away and eventually turned into permanent reddy brown blotches on their legs..always referred to as corned beef legs

I have spent a greater part of today feeling unreasonably angry.
Not ever so sure why.
Probably not healthy, right?

Do you think it was food related anger / frustration AB? @azureblue
If you can pinpoint it,you can deal with it..and thats healthy.
I know trying to lose weight and health issues make me very tense and frustrated at times..i find a bit of gestalt therapy helps..letting off steam some how, usually doing a bit of energetic housework or cycling gets it out my system..or of course it can go the other way and its drawing a chair up to the fridge

Not sure, maybe, felt like my head was a bit out of control somehow. Weird anyway.

I read somewhere that anger can be food related.......if only I could remember where and to what it might help!

Right im back here again to vent. This last week has been terrible. I still had issues with my teeth and another painful dental trip. I then took some tramadol for the pain which makes me feel dizzy and sick and eating seems to help (like after too much beer or wine) Therefore I completely wrecked one of my fast days last week. So....not only did I only have one fast day I completely lost the plot and ate everything possible that is bad for you. Kebab, biscuits, fish and chips. Im not going to weigh till tomorrow but am dreading it. I seem to have something psychological going on but I just cant stop eating. Fast day today and im at work, I have no food and no money to buy any. Fingers crossed I can get back on track again . Vent over :)

So sorry still having trouble with peggies @philxjr
..you didn't wreck yr fast day, life did. Medication was making you feel sick and you tried to stop that, coz no one likes feeling sick!
And then you did what so many of us including me do..we feel we've ruined it all,so we eat everything in sight ..yeh its psychological, its a habit we've unfortunately developed, and it's led to us being overweight/ obese/call it what you will. (There are physiological factors at play too tho, remember, so it's not all selfimposed)
All we can do is what you're doing..picking yrself up and trying again, and well done Phil for that! If you find you can't make today a fast day, make it a 16:8 or a low cal or a low carb..anything that means its not another overeat day!good move not taking food and cash to work! :like: maybe not good on other days, but a great plan fast days,..long as you at least have water.
Hope today goes well for you and is painfree x

Thanks candice @candicemarie for the supportive words. I am determined to get on and do it as there are holidays planed later in the year including step-daughters wedding in Jamaica! My other half is losing loads of weight doing 5:2 but she is more strict with herself than I am. She doesn't eat much on non-fast days either. I am really pleased for her but makes me feel worse for not losing. Oh well onward s and upwards. :) ps note to self....Do some exercise!

Try and get at least 30 minutes of purposeful walking in at lunchtime Phil, then keep sipping water, it takes the edge off.
Good luck.
