Re: THE VENTING TENT

Thank you for reminding me of that Marybeth! I think that explains why I am so hard on myself and look for logical explanations. I am ISTJ, completely objective and needing clear and logical answers to things, and getting frustrated when I can't mind them!

Thank you for your hugs @Auriga, I can do with them at the moment.

I am having a few days off and just eating, although I am noticing the increased carb intake is bloating me again. Not enough to stop me eating Philippa's hot cross buns (Australians will know her products), and eating home made pizza for dinner.

Lots of grilled chicken, fish and leafy veggies for me next week.

Hi @Debs I'm not moving into this tent with you but wanted to say Hi to my buddie of last week
You vent all you want + need in this tent coz that's what Caroline opened it for.
Our trial taught me so much about carbs once again learning from this forum after eavesdropping into your advice from carorees, I'm eating few more carbs probably only over a weekend and certain meals mid week, still abstaining from the sugar ( tea + coffee awful) but drinking a few per day, having decided if I'm going to have a mini carb binge it will be from red wine, chocolate or a
jacket potato.
That bloated feeling is awful and we know its caused from carbs but its finding a happy balance because for some of us life's to short to do without completely.
Enjoy your healthy foods while you can have them and enjoy meet up on Monday. :clover: :clover:

@Debs a silly question. But how do you know when you are peri menopausal?
Also. What were you doing and eating when you lost weight way back in the day ?
I'm also stuck, but I think that all this chopping and changing doesn't help. Do we give these new ideas long enough to have an affect.
@Sue.Q has cracked it by ditching the carbs. Once our bodies know how to fat burn, it seems to remember how to do it at other times. Debs did you hate the high protein blast?
I did when I did the Dukan attack, but it's worth it. When I get home from my mums I will do a three day Dukan attack. So that's weds to fri. With fast and exercise on weds and fri too. My body will Defo need it by then as well. So debs. Do you fancy the fat attack with me. ?

Caroline I set out to go protein crazy but when I put together my chicken salad overloaded I have to say, I'd got other chicken nibbles set aside and ready and because I try not to eat before 6-30/7-00 pm when I'd eaten the lot
I wasn't hungry
Day one went well so I repeated I never went overboard with the protein as I thought I would in fact my meat amount hasn't changed throughout my year. :clover: :clover:@carieoates

Many thanks for your insight @philxjr into the mysterious world of men!

Sorry to read of your frustration after a week of fasting......so here is my two penneth worth: check your trousers! The trousers never lie, but the flipping scales do!

I've said it before and I'll say it again......trousers are your friend. If they seem a little looser, that's because they are! They are not fickle like the mighty scales....who send you up & down on a whim!

Trust the trousers......that's my advice.....

Happy Easter & good luck on your fasting journey!

PS. Apologies for asking a question & then forgetting to look for the reply! The old grey cells are diminishing by the hour, sadly!

Hey egregious - awesome name! As soon as I saw it, the voice of Pauline from the League of Gentlemen popped into my head saying 'Egregious?! EGREGIOUS?! I'll give you ****ing egregious!' I don't know if that means anything to you but it made me chuckle! You are from South Yorkshire I see so perhaps you will know of the League of Gents as they were/are northern folks like us!

And that was kind of a vent from Pauline (with her pens) so it kind of fits in this tent as a comment...

Can I vent for a moment? I just found out how many calories are in a Grapefruit! I thought it was about 50 or so, but 100! Had 2 today and have definitely blown my fast, because of a silly fruit!

Dear o dear banthafish. Step away from the fruit and go for berries instead. They are "little bags of sugar " says M Mosely.
