Oh @Grannieannie I am SO pleased for you! Well done xx
I managed to lose another pound this week. Hopefully if I can lose another pound next week I'll be another two stone lighter - 3 stone altogether! Woohoo

I think that these photos before and after, are inspiring because it was the same picture to the one that encouraged me to invest in my health and in consequence lost weight.
I started pulling out all sugar and gluten-, over time also picked out the grains and traded vegetable oils for lard, butter and olive oil and coconut oil, but the important but nothing industrialized.
I’m 56 years old and do not need any more medicine, was hypertensive, had serious circulation problems and more a series of conditions, today only use two supplements: melatonin and magnesium.
Part of the weight lost with diet and then with fasting, joined this forum in April and were 7 kg in total are gone close to 25kg.
Still weight 104 kg, but I feel pretty! I am quite high, have a long way to go in losing weight, the forum has helped me a lot, you guys are wonderful people, difficult does not write in English, I have to use google translator.

That is amazing -- you've done a great job and I'm glad to hear you're so much healthier!!! I'm sorry, but your image link doesn't work, so I couldn't see your image.
It's so great to see how well everyone is doing! I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up better -- had a harrowing week with a very sick kitty. We still don't know why he was so sick, but he's on the mend, so we're all grateful, even if our bank account is somewhat lighter >.<

Speaking of somewhat lighter, I'm down to 201.3, 9 pounds down since the challenge started :-)
woohoo @tracieknits 9lb down already. thats amazing :) glad kitty is on the mend. horrid when the pet is ill.

I couldnt see @ana56 picture either :(

@nursebean another 1lb down. great news too :)

am still in control & being good :like: went a bit over on calories yesterday as had a butterscotch instant whip & as no-one else likes butterscotch it was all mine. naughty naughty but sooooo nice.

today Ive had 2 fried eggs on a toasted soft white roll & some orange jelly. have found caffeine free diet cola. yummy. filling & nothing naughty that needs tracking. win win. off to the cinema tonight to finish off my holidays as back to work monday :( gonna see ghostbusters. been waiting ages to see this. have it all planned. no big bag of sweets for me. gonna take a kinder bueno chocolate bar thats still in the fridge from my post holiday splurge & let the kids have their bags of sweets & hubby have his box of popcorn.

good luck everyone over the weekend. shelley xx
Sounds like a good plan Shelley! My son loves Kinder Bueno :-) I hope you have a great time at hte movies
Well done on your losses ladies.
@Nursebean is that 7.5lbs lost on the challenge so far??? Oh if that's right that means you've reached your challenge target of a lb a week (7lbs), please let me know so I can change your 'Lost so far' bit on page 1 to green.

You're all doing so well, keep up the great work. Less than 3 weeks left, lets make them 3 really good weeks. Good luck :clover: :clover: :clover:
hi dee @justdee

how you doing? hows the job? are you still in the same one with the slimey boss or did you manage to find something else?

everybody on your challenge is doing so well :like: fingers crossed I will get my first star this week too. I am really trying hard hehe. have found that my belly seems to have shrunk since getting back from holidays & not eating out. have eaten lots of salad but think I need to get some stir fry in as going a bit salad crazy. even bought carrot to put on top of it just to jazz it up & I dont like raw carrot :)

looks like pernelle is back with us tomorrow doing bsd. woohoo

anyways, off now to get dressed. last day of my time off work as back at 4am tomorrow. shelley xx
@justdee I'm at 9 pounds down now :-) So more than halfway there. I'm hoping for 17 total down by 8/26, but if the challenge ends in only 3 weeks, my goal should be 15 pounds. My goal of 17 lbs is for August 26 - 4 weeks out. And at this rate, I might actually make both goals!!
Congratulations @nursebean! Looks like you've got to your goal as well. Good for You! :victory: :like:
I have a few weeks left to re-lose and maintain. Had a nasty intestinal bug a few days. You'd think it would mean weight loss, but I kept munching on toast, tea, and gingerale-with sugar of course.
:victory: Nice work everyone!! Luck going into the last of the challenge :clover: :clover: :clover: Hugs
Thanks @Grannieannie! D'you know, I'd forgotten what I'd decided to do for this challenge. I'm so used to never achieving it! Woohoo! I did it! If we've got three weeks left then I'd still like to lose a pound a week (at least) @Justdee Is that ok?!
Everyone is doing so well on here. Well done y'awl!!
Bean
Oh Beany! That is priceless!

Fantastically well done on smashing through your target for this challenge! How you made me smile with your comment about not remembering what you'd set it at!! 7 amazing stars, eh?? Whoop Whoop!

Soooo - 3 weeks left? 3 more stars should be in the bag for you - which will mean a hefty 10lbs gone! Or as I like to call it.....20 packs of butter!!! Imagine carting around those 14 packs you've already lost, Beany! You're well rid of them......
Well done@nursebean:victory: :victory: I've put your 'Lost so far' to green and here's another :star: for you. You've done amazing and got to your challenge target. Now lets see how far past you can go. I'm sure you'll smash the 1 lb a week for next 3 weeks (2nd target). You go girl. :like: :like: :clover: :clover: :clover:

Weigh in today for me and I stayed the same as last week. Never mind, a week of BSD will soon sort that out. So pleased I didn't gain after how relaxed (bad) my eating has become, time to take control, before that stay the same turns into a gain.
Hello Totally Dee - how are you, my friend?!

Challenger 5 reporting, nay, positively skipping in to report that I weighed in this morning at 177.4lbs....a loss of 4 hefty pounds last week - whoop whoop! That's better, isn't it? I had only earned one of your lovely stars so far this challenge....so it is really nice to be halfway to my target of a 10lb loss by 19th August! That should motivate me enormously....

I'll see you over on the BSD thread for some motivational, nay, fighting talk! We need to smash our targets @justdee and we've only got another 3 weeks to do it - so we'd better get wriggling!!
Congrats!! @Hazelnut20 That is really impressive. Although I've looked quickly at the BSD and pretty sure it's not something I could sustain.
I've lost 1/2 pound this week, which unfortunately is 1/2 pound above my start weight for the challenge. But it's a start and now that I'm done travelling, I plan to really kick it into high gear for the month of August. So while 5 pounds is unlikely, I do hope to lose a couple of pounds before I go back to work!
I'm also doing a 5K in Sept. that I need to start training for, so that may help!
Have a great week, everyone!
Thanks very much, @cblasz!

I know I might sometimes verge on unintentional evangelicalism where the BSD is concerned, but I am interested in what you feel you couldn't sustain? Reason I ask is, naturally, I had absolutely no faith that I could sustain even a day! As you may have read, all my life I've comfort eaten. Food is (was) my solace. Before starting the BSD, I was totally, utterly and completely out of control on the food front. I thought the world began and ended with bread!

Since trying the BSD, my tastes have changed. Yesterday, a group of us went to the beach, taking our BBQs. I watched while everyone scoffed sausages in French bread, biscuits and crisps. Did I wish I could have some? Of course I did! But...I had prepared a crunchy colourful tuna salad in advance...so I sat there tucking in, munching away and enjoying every mouthful...til I was finished and satisfied. Big changes have come over me...and as you will see on the BSD thread, on others. @nursebean is rejecting butterscotch Angel Delight....do you know how huge that is....not to mention unlikely?! I'm glad I'm not a betting woman - coz I'd never have believed it! BSD is working its magic on our Beany, our Candy & our Dee and the rest of the gang...a number of whom have joined the latest challenge run by @justdee....

I can't explain what has come over me. Clearly, success breeds success - you become more and more motivated with every pound lost, but this is something else altogether . There's no doubt that you have to commit to planning ahead with your food. I've taken my low carb sandwich boxes all over everywhere - often with full fat bio yoghurt and strawberries in it, sometimes salad....and eaten it when all around me have been scoffing chips or cakes (yes, I would always prefer to be indulging...but that's what got me into such a mess in the first place). The point is, it really can be done....if you want to badly enough. The thing is, I've never really wanted it badly enough in the past....but for some strange and wonderful reason...I now do. The world doesn't end if I don't eat the same food as my friends or family! Who knew???!!

The point of this post is to say to you that there are a load of us over on the BSD thread who would be really happy to share our BSD experiences with you to see if we can help in any way. Often the thought of something is far worse than the reality - that's what a number of us have found. The BSD does seems hardcore when you look at it from the outside...but once you're in the swing of things...it really honestly is do-able....and the results speak for themselves...
