Sorry been meaning to do this for a while.... Sending a shout out to @cblasz, @Pilchards, @Macalfran, @Annurca, @Woods_Woman & @Committed, how are you guys getting on? Drop us a line when you get a chance. Only a few weeks left but still time to make a difference. Good luck :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover:
So sorry to hear about your accident @ana56 - hope you will soon be much better xx
Thanks so much for checking in on me! I'm plugging in along but not doing great. But, I will keep at it for the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking that hopefully when I get back to work (school) that the structure will be better for me. But we'll see, maybe I can still make a small dent in the next couple of weeks!
I've really enjoyed being part of this challenge and it has helped me to be focused and stick with fasting in a much more systematic way than before. I have noticed 2 dramatic (well for me, anyway) changes over the last 2 days. Yesterday was a fast day and I ate in the evening. I had cooked marinated chicken wings with a salad of beetroot, fennel, celery and a bit of grated apple. I weighed and measured the meal on MFP. Normally by evening I'm really hungry but yesterday I was able to eat half and leave the rest until much later when I had a nibble at the chicken and left the rest.
Today I've been out with my OH and we've eaten in a lovely restaurant. I had steak but left most of the fries!!! and said no to dessert. That has never happened before!
So pleased that my relationship with food is becoming more balanced in my favour.
Ooh Queenie @Queen56 that is when you know this way of eating is WORKING!! Isn't it exciting - well done you! xx
It's amazing Nursebean!! I am delighted!!

Hello Hazelnut20 - Thanks for the concern, I am improving a lot, have not done fast these days but I am looking after the excesses, made many points in my head, the doctor prescribed me antibiotics and recommended to take without fail for 7 days, I did not buy .. . believing that my body would have enough immunity, because after I started fasting I feel I am stronger and resistant, do not make more use of any medication.
Do 12 days my head completely healed, by coincidence on Dr. Jason Fung blog post this week he speaks of antibiotics, we should use them only in extreme necessity, it is worth reading.

A hug!
 @Ana26 I am so glad to hear you are getting better. Hugs
I am happy to be losing again. 212 today!! :victory:
Not such a good week for me I'm afraid. I haven't lost a bean! (just wish my blimmin 'you know what' would hurry up and come and go - doh!!)
I'm hoping for great things next week!!
How are you guys doing? Its a bit quiet again, I guess you're all having fun somewhere!!
Bean
Hallo! Just enjoying Nadal play Del Potro in the tennis semi final at Rio, good to see him moving so well.
Anyway, my weight yo-yoing up to 78.1kg, and even ate this morning as we were out and about chasing Tornado the steam train and too many carbs ensued :0(
Tomorrow is another day, and possibly another choochoo as Duchess of Sutherland is due through Peterborough I'm told!
Good luck studio :0)
@justdee tagged me, so I will report in.... Basically I'm 2.4 pounds UP since the start of the challenge. I'm delighted to see how well some people have done on this challenge, though. Well done!
I haven't officially weighed myself and am kind of afraid to. I guess I will on Monday. I might be up a little or around the same. To be honest, I think I will be ok with that. I have done a lot of fun things this summer and I've also started to get a lot of things checked off on my "to-do" list. I'm also trying to get ready for the school year. So, I'm exercising regularly and trying not to go too crazy with eating, but I can't really focus on losing weight right now. I'm really hoping that once I get back into the routine of the school year, I will do better. We'll see what happens though. It's been VERY hot and humid here lately, so that does tend to curb my appetite a bit.
So, don't feel bad @annurca and @nursebean - you've done so well up until now, it's natural to have an off week. At least you didn't gain, right?
That's very true @cblasz - at least it wasn't a gain!! I was relieved with that, that's for sure!
Sounds as though its super hot with you. My sister lives in Montreal and they've bean having really hot and humid weather. Its great if you're watching your food intake I guess - but I don't enjoy hot weather - and I believe we're having some scorching weather this week - oh boy!!
@Azureblue I read that as Donald Sutherland and wondered what he was doing visiting!! I guess you were disappointed with the Nadal game in the end then? Final today!! Come on Andy
Don't be too downhearted @Annurca! You're obviously having a good time! D'you think you can reel some in for the final 2 weeks? (Actually, are there two weeks left of this challenge? or one? I've lost track!!)
Here's to a great week for us all!
Bean
Let's remember that our weightloss journeys are marathons...not sprints! Challenges are great for keeping us accountable...but they don't always fit with what's going on in our lives...both inside and out. I know myself what a huge part my emotions play in what I eat...so when we hit a rocky patch, it's very difficult to stay strong-willed at all times.

That we are here on this wonderful forum is proof that we are trying hard to make improvements. We'll get there, but our timescales will all be different. I'm on my third go right now! What matters is that we come back. What matters more is that each time we gain a little more understanding of what makes us tick. "Know thyself" is a very powerful statement. I'm nearly 54 & still learning!!

Keep the faith, girls! Xxx

Oh believe me I don't love this weather either. The humidity has been terrible. I have A/C, which is great, but it's still terrible being outside and the worst part is that it makes me (and other people I guess) VERY tired!!! I had a super productive day (in and out of the heat on Thurs.) but by Friday, I was exhausted. I think it's supposed to get better this week. I'm up early this morning to get my walk/run in, before it gets too hot! And unfortunately it doesn't really help with the appetite THAT much and things like ice cream are very appealing!!
