Hello to everyone. I am doing my first post and hope this helps in my motivation.

My 5:2 diet start date was July 17, 2013.
Starting waist = 38 inches
Starting weight = 207 pounds
Starting BMI = 32.49

August 4 weigh-in:
Current waist = 33 inches
Current weight = 192 pounds
Current BMI = 30.13

Goal weight = 170 pounds
Goal waist = 32 inches

I am located in the United States in California.

Thank you

Knowing that you are committed to 5:2, and sometimes life gets in the way, I think you should post your weight for June and August.

Thanks for that, Wildmissus!

So...

August 1st, 58 kilos
June 5, 61 kilos

Between the two months I fasted for a good 4 weeks, though non-consecutive.

03/Aug
weight 73.03kg
waist 91.5cm (measured 5cm above navel, on-navel measurement 96.5)
bmi 26.82

07/July
weight 73.48kg
waist 91.5cm (measured 5cm above navel)
bmi 26.99

28/Jan (start date)
weight 86.18kg
waist 112cm (measured on navel)
bmi 31.65

Weight loss has slowed/almost maintained over the last month. Am back at work and finding it a bit more difficult to keep up the 5:2 momentum this last few weeks, but I also feel my eating habits have changed (i.e. improved!) over the last 6 months. Aiming to fast this coming week as I'll be on hols visiting family the week after...

Weight
Start 13/5/13 = 80.29 kg
July 07/7/13 = 76.60 kg
August 4/8/13 = 74.90 kg = -1.7kg from July,-5.39 from start
Target = 69.85 Kg

Waist
Start 13/5/13 = 106.68cm
July 07/7/13 = 96.50cm
August04/8/13 = 94.00cm = -2.5cm from July, -12.68 from start
Target 85cm
Re: August Weigh In Now Open

Waist 7 July = 83cm
Waist 4 August = 80cm (hurrah!)

Weight 7 July = 57.3kg
Weight 4 August = 57.7kg (hmmn)

Fat % 7 July = 26%
Fat % 4 August = 27%

So I have put on 400g plus 1% on fat but my waist is down by 3cm! I have reached my goals but I want to keep my waist below the healthy max for my height and some days it is just on the max. I have been eating more though so this isn't a bad result just as long as I don't put on anymore.

Thanks for stepping up, Wildmissus, to take Caroline's place. It is much appreciated. I am on maintenance now so I'm not sure if my stats are going to help. Use them or discard them, whichever you need to do.

7th July: 10st 7lb
4th August: 10st 7lb

Hurrah! A whole month of maintaining! My biggest problem is my waist. I lost 3 inches in the first couple of weeks and have lost nothing since then despite a 23lb loss! My waist is still a massive 36 inches - more than 50% of my 5' 7" height. Note to self: Must start exercising!

Oops! Just realised that these should be in Kg so I found last months Weigh In Thread and copied the piece of code to change them!

7th July: 147lb
4th August: 147lb

It seems to have worked. Hurrah!

FatDog's August monthly weigh-in:

previous weight 6th July: 131.2 lbs (59.5 kilos)
current weight 3rd August: 124.6 lbs (56.5 kilos)

previous waist 6th July: 28.5 inches (72.4 cm)
current waist 3rd August: 27.0 inches (68.6 cm)

weight lost is 6.6 lbs (3.0 kilos) July - August
waist lost is 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) July - August

Which is pretty close to what I lost in my first month, with that 'water weight' etc. in the first couple of weeks.

Since starting on 1st May, my grand total lost in weight is 21.4 lbs (9.7 kilos) and waist is 6 inches (15.2 cm).

Going down :) FatDog

Started june 16: 83,5 kgs

5 July : 80,6
5 august : 80,5

Loss: 0,1 kg

A plateau but a good one because I was on holidays and I didn't fast for 3 weeks :)
Now I'm back and it´s a fast day !!

Thanks for collecting the data!
