Re: My progress, by Doodle

Well, I put on after my holiday with no fasting at all, but since I came home, I have lost some of it, so my 'official' weigh in shows a 2lb gain, and I'm ready to lose it.

I really do love this way of eating, and even after having enjoyed our family holiday, I am still well below my GP's set target. How fab is that?! :)

I'm a bit depressed about all this now. Having come home from holiday and managed to lose all but 2lb of my gain, I have stayed the same this week (mainly due to Jewish New Year and enjoying all the specialities made by the family!) However, I must keep my eye on the bigger picture and remember I am still well below my GP's target for me. I think TOTM isn't helping my mood today, and I have various family things to worry about at the moment, so I guess I need to try to think positive. I could do with a hug!

I've lost my holiday gain completely now, and kept it off for a week, so hopefully I'm back on track. Still a bit worried with various family things - just started to list them but decided better not to! Trying to keep calm and focus on things I can control. Not posting on here too much right now.

Well it seems that this progress thread is too boring! My weight has been the same since 20 July (apart from the holiday gain which I lost again) so it seems that I'm quite good at maintaining. Thing is, I'm still trying to lose, so it's a bit disheartening.

No, no, no @Doodle please don't be disheartened. You've done brilliantly and have a great BMI and you KNOW how much better you feel and how good all this has been for you - so look at the bigger picture and what you've lost weight wise overall and what you've gained healthwise overall. Please don't be disheartened... otherwise we'll have to meet for another coffee, piece of cake and stern talking to.... and that's not going to help now is it !! Love and hugs to you xx

Another few weeks on and still no loss. It really is disheartening, but maybe this is where I'm meant to be? On the positive side, I am wearing new jeans in yet another size down - that's 3 whole UK women's sizes lost in a year (I was dieting before 5:2ing)

New jeans - 3 sizes down in a whole year - bloomin' 'eck Doodle - RESULT ! :victory: :like: Maybe your weight is sort of stabilising and this is where you're meant to be, without too much pain and struggle? Hope to catch you for coffee and cake  in those new slimline jeans soon xx

Guess what?! Still maintaining! My weight does vary by a pound or so over the course of each week, but the TrueWeight app sill shows my 'True Weight' to be the same.
BIG test this week as Hanukkah begins on Wednesday evening and I have every intention of enjoying all the goodies over the week! I will see what my app says after that :)

Doodle if you are like me even maintaining for weeks on end is a comfort. I used to say I was never the same weight two weeks running I was either going up or down now I have been the same weight for about two months so I figure that is where my body wants to be, I also find the level of eating doable, meals out, the odd cake, chocolate and twice a week sip or two of the falling down juice, so all in all I'm a happy bunny. Hope you can reach that point too. Keep your progress report coming I always read it and find it interesting to get some insight into other people's journey.

Thank you, Nessie. I sometimes wonder whether to post my weigh in results, but it's good to know it is of interest to some, as well as a record for myself.
Well done on your goal maintenance - you are doing really well. I have been the same for about 4 months (if I ignore my holiday gain and loss!), so maybe I should be happy here. I still hope to lose a little more though....?

Well although I haven't been on this site for a couple of weeks, I am still 5:2ing and am still at the same weight. A good maintenance! (although it would be good to lose a little more, but the scales say no!)
