juliewil10 wrote: Club member no 2 reporting as very worried about public flogging! Pleased to report that I started at 77.1, and am now 75.5 so 1.6 lost. Would have liked to have got below 75, and still might by christmas but the socialising is full on now and my will power is weak when offered fruit mince pies.

On plus side we are in full summer mode here in NZ so its much easier and nicer to be out for walks on the beach and other fitness activities like climbing Mt Maunganui

@Juliewil10 no need to be worried. its just a fun club here. but thanks for reporting and I've updated your stats. Summer in New Zealand must be beautiful indeed.
Ive done a sweep of the first 50 members just checking signatures and have now reached 193kg lost for the group.!!!! thats fantastic everyone and its probably more. ill do the other 100 soon.

Based on this, I am calling the following members to report in if you still hanging around the tent or hiding. Dont worry if you've gained since you joined the club... you have Jan to move downwards again.

We are alljust curious how you are going.

if youve posted in a random check in post, sorry but with 1400 posts its too hard for me to to go through them all (also you dont seem to be able to filter on a member name within a thread or i dont know how) so either private message me or do a signature edit so i can make sure your results are included

40ish pages ago (I'm guessing), I almost left Xmas club because I didn't think I could make my goal weight after a bad October. Instead, with lots of support from you lovely people, I revised up (63 point anything from 63.0), and met that goal.

Well, surprise surprise, I've actually met my initial goal today! My weight loss on this diet had been relatively steady until the last few months. I think the bumpiness has really confused me. Basically, I'm still not sure how this has happened, but I'll take it!

 Thanks again, Juliana, for all your hard work! Otsukaresamadeshita! And to everyone else for all your support

93 PAGES OF ENTHUSISM AND PASSION ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT HERE!

WELL DONE @Maryann on reaching your revised goal. How good are you and thank you for sticking it out till now.

You are to be congratulated on your effort and Happy Christmas to you.
Member 119 checking in. I'm still exactly on my maintenance weight, 9st 7lb, it fluctuates slightly but usually downwards. My waist measurement however has started climbing in the opposite direction, not too much so far but I will have to do something about it.

This maintenance is hard work, I seem to be thinking about it all the time. When I started 5:2 I weighed and measured once a week at first and once I had got to know the average calories in my foods I didn't bother so much. Now I weigh every day so that I can keep my weight under control, I'm hoping that I can get back to a more relaxed approach and judge my weight by the tightness of my clothes.
Hi @Juliana.Rivers, I was just looking at the amazing results and couldn't help noticing that the name above mine (Member 118) has lost 13.3kg. Is that a mistake? If not then she has done extremely well
I'm within a gnat's whisker of my Christmas target. Still under original target, which is mainly due to this fab club and @Juliana.Rivers
Don't think I will achieve 10 10 (150lbs) before the big day, but I will do so in January.

i based @jospeirs results on the signature provided unless that was start of 5:2.. calling jospeirs can you confirm. if it is since October then its amazing work yes.

It is easy to be obsessive about weight and its good to move focus away from scales to how you look and feel in your clothes. Im hoping once i get to maintenance ill be converting to weekly not daily weight.

5:2 is so in my head these days indeed every time i put anything in my mouth. so know what you mean.

I dont think its such a bad thing for the first year or so but after that maybe we need to "chill"

That's the spirit Penny. Lets not let our weight loss plans get in the way of enjoyment of Christmas with friends. I'm still planning the big feast with friends on Thursday and OH today said maybe we should fast the day before and the day after too (tomorrow is not even a fast day as today was) .. so boy is he in this IF frame of mind. My obsession must be rubbing off :-)
I might be there.... the scales at the doctor surgery showed me at 68.9 - and that was after breakfast and wearing winter clothes!
And breathe.......
I have met goal (and early, to boot!).
