There was a huge coronal mass ejection (CME) event from the sun yesterday and the charged particles will arrive at earth tonight. Although tomorrow the weather forecast is better, perhaps there won't be so many charged particles coming from the sun!
Of course there will be an aurora australis in the southern hemisphere too but again I don't know how long it takes the charged particles from the CME event to pass us, maybe they'll be gone by the time night comes for those in Australia/NZ?

I forgot to say, I finally got up into the attic and gave it a bit of a tidy. I really must have a good clear out up there but the lads and hubby would probably faint if I thrwe anything out. We actually do have a lot of empty boxes up there. Mostly of electrical and electronic equipment that we keep the boxes for in case they need sending away for repair or if they need transporting (house move). We have moved house on average every 3 to 4 years for the last 23 years and keeping the proper storage boxes for expensive electrical stuff has become a second habit. Though if I could I would still move again. Don't get me wrong, this house is warm, the bills are low, its in the country, its well built, but if I started saying whats wrong with it, it would take up a whole forum page. Lets just say its got no soul, life or energy.
Much faster now!!!! (See what I did there? ) thankfully I got back in and can rely on the fabulous support here on the fasting today thread. Thank you Moogie if you fixed it. Great that we have so many visitors now, even though the sudden onslaught slowed things down for a while. Hope everyone stays and benefits from this fantastic way of eating. Just hope that my weightloss speeds up accordingly
Good morning everyone. I've just voted. I know some people have decided not to, but I nearly missed it and it closes tomorrow.
Think I'd prefer Dara to Brian Cox! He's sooo cringey....sorry
Anyone noticed how much weight the golfer Darren Clarke has lost? I saw him on TV a few nights ago and had to look twice. I hardly recognised him. Not sure if this post should be here or on the eye candy thread. Oooohhh errrrrr
Good day to everyone !
I love January, so easy on my bank account.... Let's see, I didn't go grocery shopping yet and won't before, at least, another week (except for cats dry food but that doesn't really count). Just in desperate need of a new bra I still didn't find as the others are all way too big and my favorite has one of its wire broken...

Morning peeps!
All quiet in the Forthem household, with pups played out... phew.
I'm going out for lunch today, which is a welcome break. Like Manderley, I love January, as I have a holiday! Just at home, but I catch up on jobs, read, play with pooches and generally start gearing up for the chutney production. I have my first order of the season ready to go, so that's a bonus, too.
TTFN!!

Hi all
Great thread, most of my thoughts are fairly random and are not enough for a post of their own.
WARNING - DO NOT READ ON IF FASTING TODAY:
Just want to share that very shortly I will go downstairs and cut some thick slices from the loaf of fresh white bread I made on Tuesday (so not that fresh!) and TOAST them and then slather the TOAST with real butter and possibly some marmite or even peanut butter. Or maybe one slice of each.
Cos I'm not on a diet, don'tcha know!
That is all.

Stop it with the food porn @greenmonste I'm holding out for poached eggs on toast at 12.
Not a fast day, just 16.8.

I had four (thin and really quite small) slices - 2 with crunchy PB and two with marmite. Yum. Kind of brunch really as heading out soon.
I don't think I've ever actually had a poached egg! Never used to like 'runny' eggs but love scrambled ones now so poached are probably good too. Hard boiled eggs are not good though.

Less of this toast talk, please!!!
I went out for lunch and have returned in agony.
My friend has one of those low slung sports cars, you know the type. Fine to get in and out of if you don't have a bad back...
And to add insult to injury, we went to our usual haunt and sat on hard chairs.
Now I can hardly move; not ideal with a tiny puppy in the house, but she has been out in the garden with the big dogs, played fetch the ball and is now asleep.
I'm propped on the sofa with'Delicious' and you lot for company, plus a springer or two.

Oh poor you Penny! Maybe a nice soak in a warm bath later may help to relieve your aches and pains...or get hubby to give you a nice massage!
