very amusing Candy!
@CandiceMarie Thanks so much for asking. She's doing well considering. Maybe she wouldn't be if she hadn't been doing all the right things eg exercise and eating well before the dissection. A young bloke (30 year old) who dissected at the same time is still in hospital. However, there was some damage to her aortic valve which will have to be replaced. The docs want to put it off to allow more recovery time. She wants to get it done as it's interfering with her quality of life. It makes her breathless and she can't do the things she wants to. We are just thankful that we still have her.
@janegNo disrespect, music should be fun. We refer to "O Fortuna" as the cat song. "O Fortuna, Cats love tuna..."

Glad to hear that..Just shows @Chook..so important to eat properly and keep moving...
Hope she gets the aortic replacement at the right time,i.e., soon enough to make her happy but long enough to make sure she's recovered from previous procedures xx

But not today as it's a fast day

Oh dear! Not the dreaded fast day
But I can have it tomorrow
And not actually feeling hungry today last night had waitrose Unearthed chorizo chicken and peppers (small pack about 300cals) with a few small jersey royals, followed by very sweet strawbs and cream. So that will keep me going, along with the small bar of Moser Roth ...

Catching up here. Monday was supposed to be a fast day. But, I presuaded hubby that driving up to Derby the day before and staying overnight, WITHOUT THE KIDS, would be much more preferable to driving up in the early hours of the morning and sleeping in the car. So all of a sudden I'm rushing to pack an overnight bag, get all hubby's medicines sorted etc and the fast went out of the window.
Thats when the trouble started, On the drive up we pulled into a garage to fill up and use the toilet, as you do. Only to be told that the road was completely blocked for 20 miles due to an accident and a 40 mile divert would be needed. Hubby started stressing, as the reason for going to Derby was to get a major repair done to the car, an extr 40 miles could cause problems.
We started off and 16 miles up the divert, we had a phone call from our eldest son, telling us the POLICE were after us...... POLICE !!!! Eeek!. We had forgotten to pay for the fuel. So we had to turn around and go all the way back, adding to the milage. On the way back, we had another hold up, a dead cow on the road. But it hadn't just been knocked over, it look as if it had fallen from a lorry, already dead. The smell was awful. More delays a more stressed out hubby. We finally got back to the garage and paid to find that the road of our original route was now open.
Thankfully nothing else went wrong and when we got to the hotel we just crashed on the bed for a half hour cuddle and snooze. Well minor things went wrong, like not having a walk in shower in the disabled bathroom and me forgetting to pack clean knickers. But dinner was nice, with me not eating food I didn't really want, just because it was a meal out. I ended up having two starters instead of a big meal.
The next day was car repair (replacing the faulty air suspension with normal springs and re calibrating the ECU to show it had been done). Then we went into Derby (nice shopping) to meet @Ballerina for a coffee and some shopping. I didn't buy much but I had a try on of lots of clothes so that I could work out what size I am in what brands of clothes and what styles. Then a relaxed trip home. A really nice trip away.

The in between sizes is a pain for me too, I'm sending so much stuff back coz I can't believe I'm in such lower sizes not complaining though.
