Hangout is red hot laydies..........I can't keep up with the chit chat at times.
Glad @Sue.Q and @CandiceMarie that you are both well and keeping the home fires burning here in candy land.
I'm well and truly pooped, training to run the race for life next month. Shouldn't have trimmed our clematis and wisteria before I suppose. But wanted to get a few jobs done before the rain hit here. Dread to think which little creepy crawlies landed in my hair, as it was all above my head.

Morning girls !

@nursebean You won my heart with your avatar, I love Wall-E. I saw the movie millions of times, with the comments and everything. It's one of the most romantic movie ever

Another stressful week that comes to an end. I won't go into boring details but let's say that, until 8:00AM I didn't know how I would eat and pay my bills next month...Everything is goo now but still, I gained quite a lot of white hair in the past 5 days

On the good news side, my mother went upstairs for the first time in 3 months. I really think that her fear and lack of confidence are her worst enemy. They had plans for this summer but she finally admits that, if they have to wait before taking the RV out, it's no big deal. One step at a time

We had a lovely evening with OH 2 days ago. He wasn't supposed to come, as he's late in his work, but moved everything around, took his motorbike for the 1h30 road and.... woaw.... We are crazy, the both of us and admit freely we are each other drug. Is that bad ?

Big hugs Manderley @manderley and hope things are truly looking up for you now.

So glad you like my avatar. He's so cute isn't he. I must admit, though...I haven't seen the film yet!!

Bean really busy lately trying to set up shop which is why I don't go on hang out because I feel awkward knowing how long to stay around. So I just pop in here now and again just to show my face!

My fasting is going a bit pear-shaped at the moment. Once I'm all set up I will go about getting back into ADFing again but at the moment I just want to eat!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Bean

One step at a time, like we usually say...

You should really see Wall-E, it's poetic and cute and I love when he calls the girl robot "Eve !" and when he dances in space and... Well, I am good to watch it this weekend now

I am going to ask OH for advice on how to "behave" during a job interview as I don't seem to have natural skills for that. I NEED to get a job. Fast. I don't want a lot, just to be able to replace my PC which is dying (it stops without any reasons more and more often now, I can't even watch a youtube video anymore), buy a new wardrobe and I would love to be able to go on holidays for the first time in 13 years..... Don't worry though, I deal with the situation without any debts, I would just being more "at ease"

Hey @Manderley, I have a PC here that is minus its hardrive, I may even be able to find a hardrive for it, that you can have. The parts in it are working well. The 'job' we got it from (hubby was helping friend upgrade their business PC's) just needed their hardrive as back up.

It will need a hardrive and an operating system, (I could use the XP licence thats on the case, but XP is no longer supported and is prone to viruses no. Or I could sort out an 'open source' operating system for you if need something in a rush. Courior costs to France will probably be about £30. Would that be O.K for you?

As a side note, I overdid it so much at the gym on Tuesday that I am still extremely sore even now. Eating and drinking have become a comedy of errors, well for the men in my life it has, as I find it very difficult and painful to raise my arms close to my body. My Triceps are torn I think. All self inflicted, though having the instructor doing the ' you can do one more, now go for it' probably didn't help. I had a Cornetto last night and I couldn't get the cone to my face, it is that bad. I had to support and force the arm holding the Cornetto up with the other arm. Luckily it doesn't seem to have affected longer reaching, just anything to do with my head. I had to get my hair brushed by the lads and scratching an itch anywhere on my head is torture.
To make it worse, I'm babysitting today, I can't move (the legs are jelly too).

But tomorrow is Food Festival day. Whoop! Whoop! Lots of cheeses (we are a cheese producing county), lots of cider (we have the main Bulmers factory in the city, and I am hoping my favourite icecream seller is there so I can get a tub of salted peanut icecream from him. I may have to mug someone to be able to afford it all, but I am going. It is also a flying festival so hubby will just chill watching the planes whilst the eldest and I roam the food stalls. http://www.shobdonfoodfestival.co.uk/

So glad things are looking up @Manderlay and that your mum us moving about a little more, it is a downhill spiral when the elderly get their "staying put" head on they don't seem to realise the body seizes up so very easily, as for your OH I personally can't think of a better drug to get hooked on. :clover: :clover:
Best of luck with the job hunt you so deserve to get yourself something soon, and maybe just being yourself is your best asset on any forthcoming interview. :clover: :clover: :clover:

Morning everyone !

@Julieathome It would be great ! I am just wondering about the plugging, as it's not the same in the U.K. and here...Also, is it possible to plug in what is now an external hard drive ? For the operating system, I have both licensed Vista and Seven so that wouldn't be a problem.

Right now I have a Dell laptop which is know, apparently, for too much eating and unexpected shut down. I have it since 2009 so it's fairly old but still. Right now, its screen doesn't work properly so I use an external screen and it works fine, except that I can do less and less with it, which drives me crazy and my computer is the only thing I use (no T.V and radio, by choice)

So.... Today I am going with my dad to his bank to sign a paper for them. I find it silly but, well, I guess it's because they want somebody to tell them that my parents are sane

Also, my dear old car, it will be 22 at the end of the year, passed her "health exam" with flying colours ! Only the tyres to change and a thingy inside the wheel. Not bad for such an old lady ! I am delighted as, you see, I get attached to my cars (I am even regularly talking to it :silly: :rotfl: and I already know it will break my heart when I'll have to let it go.

Hi beaniebops @nursebean you seem to have bean missing.

@Manderley sounds romantic. All the best with a job. Put the images of you getting a job you will love in a pink bubble and send it out to the ethers and every time you worry add a layer of positive pink to your bubble. :clover:  :clover:

Maybe summer is not the best time to find a job but still, who knows...

Had quite a bit of an awkward moment at the bank. I go in the office, with my dad, and the woman say "we know each other" which I answer with a blank stare. She said "in nursery or primary school, I never forget a face and you haven't change a bit". Imagine my surprise as it was 35 to 37 years ago so I must have change a bit  However; she recognize the name of my best friend and the teacher I had at the time so.... why not. Still, it was really a strange situation

Oh and, in fact they needed me to certify I known about the mortgage and agreed with it. Which I do, without an hesitation. It's just a formality when you are 70+ years old and ask for a loan/mortgage, they ask to one of the children if they agree with it.
