@Julieathome That's quite an adventure, briefly being Bonnie and Clyde! But it sounded like it all worked out in the end.
Could anyone tell me please if I am tagging people correctly, as it never seems to come up in blue when I do it?? !

@Annurca No your not tagging properly. There are two ways to do it. When you are typing in the box and you need to tag someone click on the 'Full Editor' button to open up a new box, it will still have what you have already written. Click where you want the tagged name to be and then at the top of the new box is a row of tab's, click on the 'tag' tab it will pop up with this [tag][tag] . Input the name between the ] and [ brackets.

Alternatively you can just type out the [tag][/ tag] and put the name in eg. [tag] insert name [/ tag] (with no spaces between the / and the tag).

Well done on the small dinner..that really IS such an achievement coz after those ups and downs you could easily have gone for eating everything in sight and swigging a load of alcohol..thats what wd have happened to me probably!

yes @Sue.Q have had a good, if exciting day - have dismantled old PC and set up new one!!! and without mishap or any help and am at this very moment typing on this VERY FAST MACHINE - def not used to this fast at home, it's more like the one at work, no it's better than the one at work

the salted caramel icecream? well it was retrieved from my Mum's freezer, but survived about 24 hours in total after that ...

I have got segs on my eyes trying to spy Carte D'or salted caramel ice cream..cant find in asda or tesco.everyone one has just caramel.Meh! Boring compared to salted
Along the way tho, have developed an addiction to peanut butter ice cream,unfortunately It.is. Yummy- scrummy- licious! X

When i am tagged, i dont get a message at the top of the page to tell me..
BUT now i get an email every time there's something new in a topic ive written on..
Now i know i'm a silly billy but ive no memory of asking for this x

@CandiceMarie our local Sainsbury's had your elusive ice cream-and it is not a very big store

Ive always received emails like that Candy. If you don't want it maybe you need to check your settings out and remove it.

Whats this about ice-cream?

Thanks beanibobz@nursebean..i used to get told by email if i had a pm or was tagged,and it would say " new messages" at top of page here...but these emails give me the whole caboodle of the latest response to any topic ive contributed to,so theyre coming a bit thick and fast..ive tried changing my settings but it isnt making any difference whatever setting i put it on,tho of course us Moomins only have small brains so ive prob done something wrong!
Anyway never mind that,now where's the nearest big sainsburys...xx

I don't know why your settings have changed, but you need to go to the user control panel (link under the welcome message above), then to the board preferences tab, then to edit posting defaults, change the option to be notified on replies by default to off.

If you want to change your subscriptions on or off to any particular topic, when you write a new post, look below the preview/submit buttons and change the "notify me when a reply is posted" setting before submitting your post.

PS just seen the notify me blah blah thing and its ticked..i must have ticked it by mistake orpossibly drunk now unticked ..thank you x!

PPS just chamged the posting defaults AND the " tell me about tags thru pms" back to yes
Someone has been meddling with my settings...i wasnt drunk at all..hmm i have my suspicions..
her first name rhymes with Boo and the second bit is what you wait for a bus in..say no more....

Oh what?! I just spent ages writing it out. I went into UserControl Panel, Board Preferences, Edit Posting Defaults, Notify me upon replies by default (turn that to no)

The other way seems easier though
