Afternoon ladies! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I had an absolute blast last night. I didn't really eat much, pretty much all of my calories went on alcohol. I got VERY drunk last night and ended up staying at my colleagues house because I wasn't sure I could get home safely. So yeah this morning I had the mother of hang overs. I wasn't sure I was going to fast but I've actually managed well so far (although I'm starving) The weather is glorious here today so when I got home I took the dogs out for a walk, it was really nice and helped my hang over. My weight keeps creeping up though :( I'm hoping next week will be better.

@daydreamer21 Hi Sammy glad you're feeling a bit better than midweek well done on today's fast its nearly over now and soon time to eat I haven't done a weekend one for ages and I'm sure the dog walking helped with your hangover glad you saw sense and stayed over keeping yourself safe.
Yes the weather is lovely we've just got in from a little gardening just having a cuppa and then a shower before our evening meal bought a couple of ribeye steaks was just wondering if its bbq time!!!
Enjoy your weekend fellow buddies. Sue

Hi buddies
Just touching base am planning a fast tomorrow so stock standard spaghetti bol tonight as that is what is on offer out of the cupboards and freezer. I go light on gluten free pasta and focus on sauce and salad. DH gets the garlic bread. Just doing 6:1 at present as still sorting out stuff and its enough to help maintain. Miss the 2 days though agree @Jo05 there can be a peace to fasting. Hope for gym session this afternoon too

It's lovely day outside and nice and breezy, pleasant for my plan of cooking ironing ... boring I know but just what I need post and prior busy midweeks. Gotta have time to reflect and chillax to recharge the batteries

@Sue.Q keep up the good effort. @daydreamer21 hope you are recovered and can get back on track but don't rush and let your body heal as no there is no hurry as it's a WOL

@jools7 sending  for you and hope you and your extended family are coping with this sad time for you with your aunt.

@daydreamer21, great that your colleagues got ya nice and safe home and you also managed to get on the fast and walk the dogs too!! I believe water is useful for hangovers? drink it before you go to bed apparently.
I know about getting down about the scales, they can be such lovely things when they go down and can deflate us quicker than anything when they read upwards. But you have a good track record of long term success and that would have included wobbly days/weeks as well. I'm dreading the scales in a couple of weeks, but I'm going to remember just how much care I've put into healthy food and fasting and learning.
Have a nice weekend to you and all our buddies.
:)

@gillymary, @Sue.Q your meals sound delicious!!
Glad the weather is lovely for you both.
I've been out walking through the mangroves here, suns hot, now about to be locked inside my room studying. Weekends going so fast.

fasting today, had two cups of tea with milk, and first meal at 1pm.
Tonight will be salmon, asparagus and salad.

I'm writing up calories in Myfitness pal online. I find its really helpful. I hope I can keep it up the busier I get.
have a lovely one all my buddies and @Jools7 thinking of you and your family.
Hugs
Jo

Oh dear am as full as a goog, decided to make carrot and zuc spaghetti instead of pasta. That went well with pasta sauce and salad and cheese sprinkle. But I just couldn't resist the garlic bread I made for DH. Now I am disappointed with my lack of resolve. Drat though the garlic bread was tasty but sitting like a brick

Forgive yourself @gillymary But learn from it too
Those veggie noodles/spaghetti whatever are very filling I'm finding that's why most of my fastday meals I now make meat free and actually enjoying them this from a real vegetable hater in a previous life is really something  Sue

'Twas the sinful garlic bread and I didn't mention afternoon tea was a Aldi Marzipan chocolate 40gm after gym oh well at least that was good along with the veggie. Am topping it off with a low cal almond milk hot chocolate as my night cap ..groan. It's one of those days

Yes it does feel good to return to my walking I've missed them but have put the family "stuff" on a very slow backburner and got our own life back on track and feeling good about it, off for a shower and few tasks needing to be done today as I'm off out all day tomorrow and will be AWOL.

Hope other buddies@Jo05 @daydreamer21 travelling well.

All the best @jools7 with everything

I seem to be in the doldrums at present. Have just jumped off the scales and surprisingly they were ok even though I missed my usual fast day Monday. Not sure if I can fit a full fast in before weekend which will be wey why as am meeting up with friends. Am currently scouring cookbooks and online for a scrummy dessert to take along. We haven't seen each other for a while so it will be a delight to catch up

Hi ladies, just a quick reply before I head off for work. I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week, I have been working my butt off at work putting in some overtime to work on data for governors (*sigh* that's all children seem to be in this country, just a number!) anyway, I haven't been getting in until 7pm every night so far this week and I have another late one tonight!!! And then next week I have more late nights because it's parents' evening. But yes, I haven't forgotten about you lovely ladies. I hope you are all well, I'm sorry I can't be around to engage in the convo much. Just wanted to share my delight this morning, saw 97kg on my scales!!!! After gaining all last week it's finally going down this week. I have been keeping my carbs in check (well anything flour based) and it's working. I have a few more weeks to get down to 95kg for my Easter challenge.

Anyway must shoot off, running late for work now

 love to all xxx

Hello Fasting Buddies,

Thank you so much to you all for including me in your posts. I feel like I'm mucking up a bit not getting back to you soon enough. Do know i read the letters, but am usually reading them on phone which i so cannot use with this site, its too hard.

I'm a bit bewildered by the amount of study I have to do in addition to my work as a counsellor.
I love both parts of my life, but it's just a bit much as the topic this semester is law and that's like a new language for me.
I have a lovely big cauli sitting in the fridge and I just might use the grater to make rice or use it to make something yum.
My fast day before yesterday went well until 5.30pm when I broke it. I think I just can't fast on a work day, I can on a study days and weekends.

I heard cheesecake in there and someone doing spas (gilly and Sue :) ) and I heard dreamer making friends with the scales.
Going to bed in a bit. Keeping to the calorie allocation, but the contents is a storm of carbs at present. It should settle down, once I get somewhere with this essay and get the walking going.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. I will fast Sunday, and try and steady things tomorrow. I trust I will come back around to a good spot soon with the carbs. I just feel I must have them at present, and I recall Jools7 insisting walking was key.

sends hugs
Jo
