YES.
Even though I just pop in and out, I'd miss the forum so much if it wasn't here supporting us all.
Lovely to hear how everyone is going all over our( somewhat troubled) world!

I have been missing a lot lately. The year started badly with My only Auntie dying, as some will remember. Then I returned , to the 5;2 for a while, but my sister had a major op (all ok now though, thankfully) I broke my wrist and on top of that we had to go back to England to see the 92 year old father in law. We came back and I have been made redundant! Quite a year, but I intend to return full time starting next Monday. (Fridays are not ideal to start a new regime, me thinks!)

Oh, @Powla! What a miserable year, you have my complete sympathy! The best time start is when you are ready! I hope all settles down and goes swimmingly for you! Take Care. :clover:

Oh that's very very stressful @Powla, one sad thing after an other.  hoping this comes across as positive rather than negative, but stress can really affect the fasting, which is stressful in its self, so don't go too hard on yourself if you can't stick to it for a wee while. Just do a bit here and there. Any news on the job front?

Thanks debbiejgb, peplum41 and CandiceMarie, for those words of kindness and encouragement. Everyone seems really friendly. (well most, there are the odd exceptions, I suppose on any forum).
Peplum 41, I throw in the odd 16:8 and go on my excercise bike for 45 mins a day (but probably drink that in wine at the mo, as it still flles like a holiday with being off work). I cannot look for work yet neither, as I am officially still off sick with my broken wrist.
Thanks you lovely people...and encourage away. It's positive stuff and I am a great believer in positive

I have been awol too. Problems with dear demented dad again and another big battle with social services has just started. I have failed with fasting big time but know only I can change this. I will try to call in more often as it does help me. I have also finally worked out my calories for feast days and signed up with fatsecret to keep track. I do not like the thought of counting calories but I have got to turn this around.

@bobshouse much sympathies there. Similarly my dad, who has MSA and is cared for by my Mum, with carers in 4 times a day ... And between them the care agency, carers and social services, not to mention the GP, NHS and hospitals ... Drive one up the wall!

I am incredibly lucky , my mother is able to live on her own at 91, still drives-but only locally and can manage her own affairs. Long may it last as she lives 250 miles away and there is no way she is going to move-not that I want her to. I am visiting at the moment, but when I am not around their are lots of her friends keeping an eye out. Village life still exists in deepest Devon.
