Maybe I will jump on board next week. Sorry folks :frown:

Yes please do join us @loz2304!

I'm doing day 2 tomorrow after the weekend off, it's taken me that long to stop aching

Stick with it! I've completed it and am rotating the levels. It's made a huge difference to my toning/fitness levels. I could run 5k comfortably before I started this but I couldn't complete the whole session to start with. It's even pulling in my saggy bits
Nicky_94 wrote: A little bit sore, but nothing like as bad as last year, I remember I could hardly move!

Do you wear trainers when you do the shred? I had the calves cramping thing last year until I put my trainers on and that seemed to help.

And yes, HIIT is basically the same as fast exercise, it's doing bursts of activity working as hard as you can followed by a short recovery time, which is basically the principle of the shred too. I've been doing a few minutes of HIIT a week on and off throughout the winter, and though I haven't seen any big changes to my body shape I feel a big difference when I do the cardio, I barely even get out of breath!

I did it with trainers last year and had the same problem. I think I'm probably not quite warmed up enough, as the warm-up is so short, but I can always do a little more if it's really an issue. I usually just do something else (like the skaters from level 2) instead!

HIIT sounds good! Works for my short attention span/impatience :P

I second this! You are most welcome to join us, @loz2304, the more the merrier :)

Don't worry about it @Winsome, hope you're well!

It's my saggy bits that need the most work, @Chickvic, that's why I like the quick results of the 30DS :) I tried to rotate levels over summer but couldn't keep it up for some reason. What's your system?

SO it is now my Day 5. I missed Day 3 but I've done all the others (even though I was hungover yesterday haha) so hopefully I can do Day 5 later. Quite difficult to keep it up every single day but I really would like to see some results and get my fitness levels back up as soon as possible! Last year it really changed my body (although I didn't appreciate this at the time) so I'm hoping I'll actually notice more this year...

I do level 1 on Sunday and Wednesday, level 2 on Mondays and Thursdays and level 3 on Tuesday and Friday. So far keeping it up  Have just ordered another of her DVD's with longer workouts - 45 mins. It's Extreme Shed and Shred so I'll see what that's like this week!

Day 2 done and wasn't too bad, plus I just put all of the days into my diary to be sure that I actually do this monday to friday, I've left the weekends free so my 30 days are up on 12th June :)

@BethP that reminds me, I must take pics, I didn't last year and I was never sure if it made much of a difference, but looking back at pics from our hols I can see that it did!

@Chickvic wow you are dedicated! Let me know how the other DVDs are, I would like to do something different once I get to the end of the 30 days because I am word perfect on the 30 DS!!

I took pics last year, @Nicky_94, the difference was huge! Fasting + 30DS certainly did the job.

After missing the shred yesterday again (someone smack my wrist...) I was up at 7.30am this morning doing the Nathalie moves! Even managed all of the press ups which is a first for this cycle :victory: Day 6 down... Day 10 is creeping on!

I did think about taking pictures again this year, but I'm trying my best to go on how I feel this time round. Plus, I left my camera at home  I'm measuring every 10 days and weighing myself at the end of the process, just out of curiosity.

I've just done day 3, I actually quite like getting up from my desk and doing something active in the middle of the day, I must try and remember that!

I took pics too, but as I'm home alone with just my iphone the angle wasn't wide enough to take very good pics, but oh well, they should give me an idea...

Good going, Nicky_94! :) Yes, always good to remember the positives.

I've been sucked under into revision at the moment, feeling in over my head so exercising has been difficult. I've missed a few days so far, but I'm measuring on Day 10, no excuses. If I don't like the result it should kick my arse into gear for Level 2!

Fasting has also not been going well :( Stress makes me eat.

Hum, missed day 4 yesterday as was stressed with work but also very tired after my fast day, so will have to pull out all of the stops today. It won't be easy as it's a bank holiday again in France so will have to do the shred in the company of the kids, never great as they want to join in and there isn't the space, so I end up having to do very small movements as I once hit my daughter on the head with a hand weight in an enthusiastic move and I'm scared I'll hurt one of them acidently again. But still, no excuses, I'm going for it later on when we get back home as we're going shopping first.

BethP - I sympathise with the revision stress, I'm supposed to be writing my masters thesis at the moment but have barely started, and every time I think about it I have the urge to go and eat chocolate :(

Day 4 done, I forgot all about it until I went into my bedroom and saw my work out clothes on the bed, glad I put them there this morning, must remember to do that in future on days when I'm not shredding at lunch time.

Was quite easy today, even doing the hard moves.

[tag]Nicky_94[/tag[], stress cravings are the worst :( I'm spending all day, every day at my desk revising for the next two weeks. Always feel like I deserve that pizza/chocolate bar/glass of wine (delete as applicable) for working hard.

Well done for your Day 4, sounds sweet that your kids want to get involved but I know how annoying it can be when people are with you! My boyfriend joined me once (he's really into his exercise, all the stuff I hate like football, running, and cycling) after standing around going 'Doesn't look that hard'. He was sweating buckets by the end :P

No shredding for me today, but weighed myself and am up nearly a kilo from last week, grrrrrrr. Would be totally depressed but am telling self that it's just muscle, plus stomach is flatter so can't be all bad.

Did you measure BethP? Think today is your day 10?!
Re: 30 Day Shred - May 2014
11 May 2014, 09:13
I did measure, and then forget to shred. Oops! Anyways, I am down 1in on my abdomen and 0.5in on my legs. Everywhere else is the same, even my waist :( Not completely happy with this, but it was kind of predictable because I didn't do the shred every day. Also, I missed a couple of fasts.

So, onwards and upwards! I'm starting Level 2 today and I am a little bit worried, it's been a while since I did any Level 2 and from what I remember it's quite a step up :P Oh well, hopefully it'll kick my butt into gear and take a few more inches off. Trying not to be too hard on myself, as I am in revision/exam time at the moment.

That kilo is probably just water weight, or muscle like you said, Nicky_94 :) If your stomach is flatter then it must be working!

EDIT: My back hurts! Level 2 is mean...

Did day 5 yesterday in the end, and day 6 just now, it's definately getting easier, yay!

Have also made some progress with the masters thesis, even if it's only a small step I feel a bit better about the whole thing.

How is level 2 going @BethP? And what about exams?
