Wow what a fit bunch we are. Nice to see some new members and half marathons, wow. :clover:
What do you all think about adding a line to our signitures saying something like 'send me a pm to join the fitbit group'?

I recently chnged mine to add info about the hiit group and fitbit chat, but we do get questions about how to join and this might help.

Let me know what you think :) i'm off to add it to mine now anyway.
Good idea @Umleila gonna do it.

Done it see.............. :like:

Also, is there a way of removing "excess" steps? I wore my fitbit horse riding today and it's given me faaar too much credit!

I'm just wondering if that's you Laura on the leaderboard at about position 30.?
A question for anyone who has moved from a Zip to a One.....

I've just noticed that although my steps and miles are fairly equal, my very active minutes are waaayyy down. Looking back at previous months they used to be much more in line (when I was using the Zip, but admittedly when I was running regularly)

So is it me or has anyone else noticed this?
I have never used a zip, but I do feel that my one is very stingy with awarding active minutes.

Side whine: my treadmill needed lubing, and I'm not sure I've done it correctly. It's a bit wonky right now. And it's 10Farenheit outside right now, and on top of the bitter cold we have wind. whinge, whinge, whinge. I may have to get the rest of my steps in today by doing laps through my (tiny) living room.
I guess the storm is just missing you, @Tracieknits! I saw a few little blobs of snow on the Weather.com map that looked like they might be in the Albany region. Watching with frustration as my mother was supposed to go to the hospital (in NJ) for tests, and they were canceled because of the 8 - 12 inches of snow expected. :frown:
Yes, completely missed us. I have grass instead of snow in my front yard :-( It just seems so wrong to be *that* cold and not have snow! I'm sorry about your mom - I know how hard it can be to get tests rescheduled, not to mention how much fun it is to wait for results :-(
Hey, bit-ers. I got a "Helicopter Badge" for climbing 500 floors! I've always considered it part of my exercise regimen that I run around our 3 story home a lot of the day (hubs works on the third floor, kitchen is on the ground floor, I deliver sustenance as well as help with technical stuff on a regular basis).

So now I don't feel like I'm as sedentary as I was afraid I was. In fact I've increased my activity level to "moderate" on the tracker, giving me a much more reasonable TDEE of 1400.

Life is good. Well, some parts of it, at least.
@sians it takes a very fast pace of at least 2 consecutive minutes to log any active time.
SianS I had exactly the same thing when I went from a zip to
a one. My goal is an hour of active mins a day. I used to get them power walking with the zip but they wouldn't register that way at all with the zip.

I now have to jog (usually on the spot, be doing my hiit, or climbing up and down stairs very quickly to get those same minutes.

I queried it with fitbit at the time but they didn't give a very satisfactory answer. On a plus note I definitely have to work harder to get them.

I arrived in the uk yesterday after not seeing my mum since August when I got the one. I am the same weight now as I was then, maybe slightly more and my mum said my body shape has changed again and I look slimmer than I did in the summer :)
Hmmmmmm, I just checked back the last few days and I see that my One logged our big walk on Sunday as 7 mins of Very Active. I was walking at an intensity of 500 steps per 5 mins the same as my OH who was credited with 86 mins of Very Active for the same walk
I haven't checked the leaderboard this week, but sure I'm free falling. I'm away, looking after very sick mother, and my steps have dropped to way less than half my usual. But I'll be back! Interesting how much my appetite has shrunk too.
Just got back from work trip and was supprised at how many steps I actually got in - I was trying consciously to walk further wherever I had an opportunity.

Still a small drop but no where near as much as expected. Look out @carieoates I'm now back in the game.
@SianS that doesn't seem fair. Maybe add it to your MFP. That's what I do for my classes. But looks like you're doing very well indeed judging by the leaderboard.
@TBrewerton how's the new treadmill? Mine isn't get used enough yet.!
