I might have a way to go but I shall catch you! Who got a treadmill? I got a treadmill yay!!

10000 steps BOOM - first time I've seen that green bar in many months!

Sorry just a little excited about the future!
Yay! Congrats on the new acquisition and your 10,000 steps. Onwards and upwards with them.

I'm going to the UK on Tuesday so expect to go much lower in the rankings. I've also decided to up my hiit exercise to three times a week again. I think in those days, like today, my overall steps will be much lower because I'm shattered and aching from the hiit.

So a chance for others to get up and take my place. At least for a while ;)
My FitBit One arrived today! Wahoo! Loving the little thing so far.

Looking forward to seeing how my day goes tomorrow, then will adjust targets. I think I tend to walk quite a lot at work, but I may be surprised at how little I do!

Will try find the 5:2 group on fitbit but still finding my way around :)
Congratz Fatcat89 and TBrewerton on your new toys! Umleila, I hope you have a great time in the UK
Just had an idea for this fitbit chat group which could be fun to do...

There have been a few groups in the forums popping up recently with goals - while we all have our individual steps or stairs etc goals I thought what we could do is start having competitions for "most improvement" at the end of each month I could post a table of all members that wanted to participate rating their month against their previous months stats for steps.

We could then see how well we are doing to improve our step count each month?

The idea came from the fact that I know there are a few of us really pushing to get higher up in the stats. By rating each member on improvement it could be quite encouraging because even though they may not be top 10 they may have improved greatly compared to last month...

What are your guys thoughts?
Good idea @TBrewerton the almost constant rain here in the South of England is making it really difficult to get my steps in at the moment
Just completed my first treadmill run since the beginning of December. C25K week 4. The
5 min jog sections were the best bits in my opinion. Going to repeat on Sunday. Love my fitbit, love 5.2, love my treadmill.

I'm up for that @TBrewerton count me in. I'm hoping for a massive improvement now that I'm getting back to normal. :victory:
Great news Caroline
Great news carieoates :) glad to see you getting better x

Count me in too tbreweton ;)
Sounds great, but I'm no longer looking to increase my step count - I'm looking to increase the speed on my treadmill, which isn't so trackable. :-)
Love your idea @TBrewerton! I probably won't be able to increase my stats too much (though never say never), but it will be a good snapshot of what I have accomplished!

Speaking of which, I just got an email from fitbit on my 2013 activity, did any of you? It was cute!
Yes I got the email, this is me, aug to jan. It was very interesting.

Mine was the puffer fish (I had started late Sept). I don't know how to capture the page, but here is what it said:

IN 2013, YOU TRAVELED
312 miles
That's more than the length of Ireland. It's also what it would take to run around a pufferfish expanded to 524370 times its normal size. Way to blow it up!
