One of them was a sand mountain...seriously, it had to be equivalent to 6-8 flights of stairs and all I got was 2!!! Every step was like sinking in quicksand and fighting to climb all the way. I figure it all balances out in the end. I know I have gotten credited for stairs I never actually climbed.

Just a thought - maybe due to the sand taking the impact of your steps with your feet sinking in some were not reporting hence the lessor reading? Just an idea...?

Yes, you are probably right. Between the sinking and going slowly because of it...the incline didn't register well. I guess I don't need the Fitbit to tell me that was a workout! But, somehow I still felt cheated by it. lol I don't get a lot of opportunities for stairs, inclines, and climbs in the flat farmlands; so I was hoping for more.
Jeniben, I had trouble uploading a profile pic to fitbit. In the end I used my iPad as you can choose an existing pic from photo stream or take one. it didn't upload via pc no matter how many times I tried.
My fitbit's on its way... exciting. I hope it takes me through set up from start to finish
Just watched the BBC Horizon documentary on the current craze for monitoring. Made me very glad I have ordered a new fitbit (but very resolved to be more careful with this one...). I haven't gotten it yet but expect to be able to tomorrow. It was pretty amazing that the women lost weight over 3 weeks just diligently doing 10,000 steps a day.
Hi guys, most of you are probably asleep by now. Here it is 6pm. I was pretty good the last couple of days.20K steps on Sun and over 19K yesterday. Today I did over 13k and I'm planning to go for a walk as it is nice outside. I'm very impressed by the spirit in this group and it is really fun. I actually saw the lowest weight today on the scale since started the5:2 WOL. Although I'm in maintenance, and this is definitely related to the increase in the activity motivated by this group. Can somebody put a link for the BBC Horizon new movie for those who don't live in the UK?
WooHoo, we are definitley spreading our enthusiasm across the forum. Personally if I had to choose between my fitbit or 5:2, I would just say take a toe instead!

Hugely dissappointed as I worked until 10:30 p.m. tonight and didn't get even 3000 steps in today. And we are having glorious weather...or so I'm told as I've not been out. Keeping my fingers crossed it last until this weekend so I can redeem myself. Even broke down and had a dozen of those miniature chocolate bars...I need to be slapped!

Keep up the good work everyone!
Good morning everyone :)

Here's the link to the programme einatlb. Not sure you'll be able to watch it though unless you have a UK VPN. That's how we watch UK programmed when we are back in Saudi anyway. If not, I'm sure it will make its way to YouTube soon. Great news about your weight too :)

I fell off the fasting wagon last night as we had a movie night with popcorn and that turned on the food switch for me. I'm hoping to take it easy today. This is our last week in England so I'm seeing it as a sort of holiday period. We always try and fit in our last take always etc in that time.

I made all my goals yesterday and got a new 75 floor badge too. Not sure I'll be making that one again any time soon, but it was good to add to the collection. I also monitored my sleep for the first time. I got a good eight hours which I was surprised at.

Golinda I hope you have a more productive stepping day today :)

Happy fasting and stepping everyone :)
Thanks Umleilla. I. Will try to watch it this evening. Enjoy your last week in England. 75 floors is amazing. A couple of weeks ago I climbed a mountain and got to a 100 but never repeated that. Yesterday I did again over 20K steps but ate a bit too much too. Today is a fasting day. It is 5:30 am and i'm going now for a run. Golinda, sorry you had to work so late. I wish you a better day today
thanks Carieoats
tried it from my tab and pic uploaded fine

Finally got my new fitbit. Does anyone know if I can sync it to the old one, or do I need to start a new profile?
You add the new fitbit to your old profile. I did that when mine broke and FB replaced it.
