Oh wow, well done imcountingufoz! You're the proof :D
Thanks BethP. Now go forth and shred!
Stopped shredding last Saturday because my knees were really hurting all day and night. And after I stopped 30DS, I stopped losing weight as well, even gained a bit back.
Yesterday my knees felt better, so I started again, still on level 1. Now I do the beginner exercises and in stead of jumping jacks I jump with feet together.
Wow, imcountingufoz - you've sold me. DH is out tonight so I'm going on Youtube to check it out.
Hey ho, just wanted to drop by for some encouragement! Keep doing what ur doing, if it appears like u might've gained, or stalled a bit realize that it may be attributed to water retention caused by the exercise. You can't gain muscle whilst eating on a deficit as you need to be eating at a surplus to do so. Ignore the scale and keep up the new exercise and definitely be kind to urself!!
Eep, you could do the punching exercise instead, she says that's a good one for injury to lower body. If you rampmupmthe pace and double time it , it is a real killer! Got that from Billy (tae bo)
Just did it! It was gruelling, but not as torturous as I was expecting. I was somewhere between Anita (beginners) and Natalie (advanced). I sort of cheated in that I didn't have any dumbbells so I used a can that weighed 1 lb in each hand. I may try to get some weights over the weekend.

I guess the next couple of days will be the real test - can I get out of bed tomorrow and Saturday ;-) ? I must take my measurements now so I have a benchmark for progress.

Good luck all you shredders!
Well done everybody! ‪imcountingufoz‬ you are an inspiration and I'm massively proud of you (although I don't know you).

Janeg you made me hoot out loud here at my desk. Hang in there! And Eep, they're not easy on the knees are they, these exercises? When mine hurt I swap in the punches or just jog on the spot instead of jumping jacks. And well done mummybunny - I've been using cans of tinned tomatoes too. Got weights now and am in a world of pain.

Sincere - you are such a welcome sight. I logged on this morning feeling a bit glum - I've lost half an inch on my bust and a whole inch on my hips since I started shredding 8 days ago, but gained most of a kilo! So your post has made me feel loads better. Thanks :)
'Go forth and shred' is my new official tagline :D Credit where credit is due, imcountingufoz!
I'm pleasantly surprised my legs are a little sore (especially going down stairs and getting up when I've been sitting) but I'm not (yet) in the agony I feared. Let's see tomorrow morning after a second day of Shred!

I'm also glad I am forewarned about the possibility of (temporary?)weight gain having started this. It seems most people do gain at first but then lose it and then some more if they keep it up. I hope that is my experience.
I'm officially addicted!!!

I finished my level 1 work out this evening (was way too tired this morning!) and thought I'd have a sneaky peak at level 2. Somehow instead of just watching it to see what hell I was in for next I ended up doing it. Was a killer but felt great afterwards :-)

I know in my other post it was suggested I cut down my exercise - oops (well I did have Wednesday exercise free - does that count?)

I'm sure I will pay for it tomorrow and maybe the next day!!!
Got the agony I feared today for sure! Going down any kind of stairs has been pure torture. I did power through, however, and shredded today notwithstanding the pain. The exercise itself was a relief compared to movements I take for granted every day - seriously.

I am hoping to have a nice long walk tomorrow in addition to a shred session - it always helps me lose weight for the week.
I have been doing the 30DS on and off for a year. It's an excellent workout. I know the routine off by heart now. I have picked it back up again this week with a holiday on the horizon, and I'm on my 3rd week of 4:3. So far I have found I have more energy for the shred. Stick with it girls! It delivers fantastic results if you stick with it! Proper tones you up and strengthens you all over. Once you hit your goal weight/size, do the shred twice a week as maintenance. I had 4 weeks off the shred and put on a few pounds!
Well lovely shredders, I have done the interim weigh and measure and the results are goooooood!
Day 10 today- weight up 100g- so considering the abuse shredding is doing I reckon that nearly counts as a loss ;)
and
14cm off! I measure bust, waist, hips, widest point, thighs, calves, arms and midriff. Biggest reduction is on the widest bit (between my waist and hips over a transverse op scar x 3)- and waist. 4cms each.
Looks like this is worth it.
mummybunny the pain eases off (after about day 14!);)
Sounds like everyone's doing a really good job! Keep at it :)

Thanks for the advice chickpeas1, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I think the shred is going to be my best friend this summer as I'm working (waitressing) and going on holiday with my slim friend! I'll just keep repeating it.

Congratulation, janeg, sounds like it's really doing you some good! I'm very excited for Wednesday which is my weigh-in/measure/Day 10 picture day. Managed to time that well ;) Hoping that I've lost a bit of weight even though I know working my muscles might mean some water retention.

Can now do both full sets of push ups! The workout is still tough and I pant and sweat like nobody's business but I'm really enjoying it.
