Getting Sweaty! Exercise & Fitness

88 posts Page 6 of 6
Good luck everyone doing 30 day shred, it's a great workout. I am now doing ripped in 30 by jillian, I am on week 2 and wow she makes you work every muscle. I don't look forward to it every morning but when I finish it I feel amazing even though I am very sweaty and have to lie down on the floor or a while :)
Thanks so much mummybunny2005! I'll read that article and get started!
Hooray - had to take a two-day break for ladypains, but I'm stepping up to level 2 tomorrow. Just watched the workout and those skaters and plank-jacks look a bit terrifying.

Best of all though - I was getting downhearted after not losing since April - then inches were going down but I was gaining weight. Now both sets of numbers are starting to go down and I'm so relieved. Plus I've lost two inches on my hips and three on my chest! It's only been (in 30DS terms) 10 days...
wow! that's quite a result already Beeswax!
Level 2 is a killer- I am now officially dead (see the other shred thread)
Wonder if we should combine the threads...
I didn't watch the workout before I did it, when she said some of the moves I was like What?! Plank jacks were one of them!

Sounds like you're doing really well Beeswax and seeing results! Good for you :) I'm excited to weigh and measure next week as well, felt very slim this morning actually!

And janeg, that might be a good idea. Reckon we should make an 'official' 30DS thread?
Plank jacks, I have met them too. At first sight I thought a lot of the execises of level 2 were impossible to do. But I somehow manage to do them. Sort of.
I'm on day 6 of level 1 and today had a look at levels 2 and 3. Some of those moves look really hard, but my biggest concern is that my lack of co-ordination (I couldn't be a dancer!) may make some of them really tough...like pendulum lunges, oh my god, had a quick go and got so confused with which leg to bend lol!
vebnorahs, just curious, have you really lost 7.26 kg since April 15? If so, wow!
Yes i have :0D

Actually I've lost another 3lb since this weigh in. I do a lot of exercise (50 miles a week on exercise bike, 3 runs a week ranging from 3 to 6 miles and am 9 days into the 30 day shred). I am also still breast feeding my son once a day and most of my initial loss was baby weight that was always going to fall off when I finally set my mind to it. Oh and I run around after two boys aged 3 and 1 all day every day!

I am however half a stone lighter than my pre-1st baby weight and have 5/2 to thank for that. If I can do it anyone can :0D
That's amazing, vebnorahs! Congratulations :D
30 day shred - you tube or DVD
14 Oct 2013, 09:07
Hi can you help me please?

Every here is talking about how good the 30 day shred is.... is it using the You Tube shorts clips or the DVD?

Are they are the same?

Big thanks
Natalie
Hi Natalie,
I haven't done it but there is a 30 min You tube video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8
Good luck

Edit - I don't seem to have any sound though, but that could just be me
I use the youtube version, search for 30 day shred level 1 and you should find what you are looking for. You can buy it too it's not very expensive, I saw it in BHS a while ago or try amazon, I think it's about £5.
