Good week and good luck to all

Not in a quiche (the cheese kind of forms the crust), plus I'm vegetarian. But thanks for the suggestion.
I'm going to fast but I'm really just having a miserable day. I'm determined not to skive off just because I'm feeling lousy.
Don't mean to sound like such a miserable cow. Good luck everyone

Despite trying to avoid catching my son and hubby's colds I have come down with a sore throat and cough and feel lousy. I also didn't get a lot of sleep last night so am feeling tired. Maybe I'll be able to snooze through part of my day LOL.

Take it nice and steady - you'll feel better soon!
I strangely look forward to my Monday fast too. I didnt over do it at the weekend however i do like my Sunday dinner pudding and can eat it guilt free knowing I am fasting the next day. My weight stayed the same this week however im not too fussed by that as I can definately feel the difference in my clothes so know that i am slowly moving in the right direction.
I will survive on water and herbal tea most of the day and may have a 51 calorie WW Chicken Noodle soup later which will keep me going til dinner. Not sure what to have for that yet ... any suggestions?
What is everyone else having for dinner? That may give me some inspiration as usually its beans and eggs on toast!
Happy fasting folks

The housework can wait for a bit but I have managed to take the dog out today. I feel boiling now I've got back though
Having lots of cups of Lady Grey tea is helping too
Taking it nice and steady sounds like good advise
Was exceptionally good fast for me, fluids until dinner time and no sucrose all day so even when I had my coffee. Dinner was already prepped. Was very active as well cleaning windows and sorting the seasonal clothes change over. Eeek pants falling down. Got the gym in too though very lethargic with the cardio as it was 5pm by the time I was on the bike
Good nite and good fasting you northern hemispherians just starting out
After feeling really bloated and yucky yesterday, I decided that today I would start the 5:2 diet.
The last time I had a meal was at 5:30pm yesterday and I've not eaten since. If I eat midday, it will make me hungry for the rest of the day so I'm planning to have a small portion of grapes, pasta and a banana at around 4/5pm before I go to the gym at 6pm. After that, I will not eat again properly until 9am the next day. Is my fasting day too long?
That sounds to me like a normal length fasting day, so don't worry.
Those food choices might not be ideal for a fasting day though, grapes are quite calorific and sugary as are bananas - they may make you more hungry. The same can go for carbs and the foods will probably not 'stay with you', leaving you hungry later on especially if you are going to the gym. Would highly recommend veg & protein as something to fill you up and keep you going. Maybe have the banana before the gym for energy and then have a small piece of fish or chicken with some steamed veg after?
