Did a 20:4 today, had under 700 cal, so probably qualifies as a proper fast day too! Hoping this will get me to my Valentine's day target tomorrow!

4pm: handful of almonds
4:30 goat's cheese and a slice of bread
7:30 small bowl of pasta with home made tomato and stealth vegetable sauce (stealth vegetables to sneak some veg into DS's diet!)
675 cal, 78 carb, 29 fat, 22 protein

Then went for an hour's swimming, 30 laps of alternating front crawl and breaststroke.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow's weigh in!
Stealth veg that's a good phrase. I usually shred courgettes and carrots into mine. Shhh, don't tell anyone.
I did a 24/0 on Sunday, a 15/9 on Monday (and went over my TDEE by 200 cals), and trying for at least 16/8 and 1550 calorie limit today. Tomorrow is grandsons anything goes day!
Gone up 0.2kgs this morning. Restraining carbs to under 150g anyway and protein around 60g.
Onwards, downwards :0)

P.s. Today's has become a 19/5!
I've been managing 16:8 ish by not having anything until lunchtime. I've also been finding that a big lunch is doing me until next morning- maybe a wee bite in the evening but still within the 'window'.
Feel fat :(.
Really looking forward to getting back to 500 cals 3 times a week!
That can happen come Sunday.
I will weigh for March so will have done a few fasts by then, so I won't really be able to tell if 16:8 has been a useful strategy. Maybe I should weigh...
I'm 16:8 this week as the kids are on half term and i need to keep my wits about me. Plus sleep becomes a problem in the hols. My youngest finally went to sleep at 11.30 last night and was awake at 7. Also thought it would be good to shake things up a bit as I seem to be losing weight quite quickly. I did 18:6 yesterday and will probably do the same today as we are going out shopping.
Oooh, this tent is quiet!
Just sticking my head in to say thanks for having me and I'm tootling back to 4:3.
I have found the eating window difficult as a strategy this time. I did id when I was back in Scotland last summer no bother so decided to do it when I had visitors here.
I have to say that I have found it difficult to follow, probably because we all love breakfast!
I have managed some days, but not as many As I would have liked.
I won't weigh until March, my ususal weigh in, so don't know if , as a maintenance strategy it has worked. I feel fatter though, even if my clothes aren't really showing any difference.
I would have managed fasting better.
An interesting foray off the track I have been following. Thanks for having me.
Tata :D
Say you plan a 16:8 ...then in yr window, you only have 500 cals...does it count as a fast day? :?:

 Come back in @CandiceMarie just a senior moment we're allowed them surely.
@Janeg has moved out and I've been forum "quiet" lately so now I'm probably up to plan XXX by now and running
out of ideas Back to 5:2 starting Monday with all other days at 18:6 and i've just removed the scales from the house until Easter
Tape measure not changing either and clothing same as before xmas this I don't mind providing I can see a small change somewhere along the very long zig zag road.
Any suggestions appreciated and taken on board. Sue
I am on a mission @Sue.Q to demonise wheat products so my suggestion is....cut out all foods with flour in them! Can you try that???? :?:
Back to basics and strict 5:2 just like in the beginning maybe a good idea Sue. Hope you fall off the plateau and onto the slippery slope downwards very soon.
@Auriga Well I don't do any flour based foods on my fastdays never have and also removed the breakfast cereals and almost all the bread from my normal days and Oh no I'm not squeaky clean I do still have dessert or biscuit but will endeavour to remove them for a month.
Yes @AnnieW From Monday I am back to basics and 5:2 only plus my 18:6 on normal days and I'm not doing back2back fasting at all my days will be Mon and either Wed/Thurs depending on what I've got on each week but my 2 fasts will be 500cal "true" fasts and meat free. Sue
I'm still enjoying my "eating every other day" routine. I know it's slow, but it's definitely going in the right direction...downhill. It's gonna be touch and go whether I get to my Easter target, but I am SO determined!

Bean
Well I'm on a whey hey day and have naughtily eaten a brown roll with soup while out, half a bar of sugar free chocolate on the way back, and a wee bit of walnut cake just now. Curry for dinner too! Ooooh I'm gonna be high on the scales tomorrow! Back to 16/8 then too ;0)
