Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.
Another week, another fast. Like Gill, I've also been stuck the last couple of weeks, what with Easter, hubby's birthday celebrations, a family gathering and having been poorly. Glad to at least have maintained - but hoping for a loss this week despite TOTM!
Feeling a bit lonely today. Hubby was home most of the last 2 weeks poorly, now he's back at work and the house feels so quiet. The weekend went too quickly and I really just want an extra day or two with him. Crazy really, normally I love having the house to myself.
Well, will have to keep busy with work, cleaning fish tanks and hopefully a bit of time to continue development of the new recipe section.
Good luck to all my fellow Monday fasters
Fingers crossed i can get through kids home from school, dinner time and bath time!
Good luck everyone fasting today
Sallyo, can I ask what your eye surgery was? I had laser surgery over 10 years ago, and my husband had lens replacement done 2 years ago.
I was due to have a meeting with my boss this morning, and was dreading the tummy rumbles during it - but he's off sick so it's been rearranged.
I had Fage 0% greek yoghurt with berries from breakfast, am deciding which lo-cal soup to have for lunch, and tea will be the chicky-leeky soup I made last week, and froze extra portions.
I was at a food market yesterday and bought some dulse, an Irish dried seaweed, so I'm going to nibble on that during the day. And last night I went to see the Hairy Bikers live stage show, and got a signed copy of their dieters book - I usually fast on days that husband and I are eating different meals, but I think this book will be great for the odd days when we are eating together on a fast day.
Melanie...I've been trying to work it out but what IS "chikcy-leejy soup"? Chicken and leek? Or some exotic Irish soup I've not heard of?!
It's my take on cock-a-leekie soup, basically a chicken breast, leeks, half a turnip and some mushrooms in chicken stock.
