KataMac - OMG .... that sounds A.M.A.Z.I.N.G ............. any chance please of the recipe/quantities when you've got a chance?
Well, I'm a make it up as I go cook, so hopefully this gives you enough of an idea. I cooked a diced small onion in coconut oil, then added cubed sweet potato (1 medium), and probably about 4 cups of cubed pumpkin and butternut, maybe even a bit more. I grated in a fair whack of fresh ginger, a good 5cm square. Then I poured over a tin of coconut cream and enough water to cover the veggies. I simmered for 3/4 of an hour or so (long enough to make a batch of biscuits ;) ) until really mushy. Then I blended the soup, added salt, pepper and lots of fresh coriander. (And took a bowl over to my neighbour, it was so good I had to share!)

Edited to add, I think carrot would go well in it too.
3 hours left of my first liquid fast although I think I will just have something small to eat at that time and then wait until this evening to have a light meal.
That's the plan anyway ;)
Katamac that soup does sound good!
Well done Fredi - enjoy your 'break-fast' meal it will be delicious whatever you have!
Here we go again - really ready for it today after 2 wine-filled days. Food cravings are down a bit on feed days, but no real change to wine desire so far.

Good luck everyone today
Morning all. Im in today, both birthdays over and started again last night. Really looking forward to this one feeling a little sluggish I normally fast on a Wednesday so alittle out of sync. Don't think I overindulged but also don't think I had any issues reaching my daily cal intake! Haha
Happy fasting everyone
Morning all. Today is due to be a 36er but I'm not yet sure whether I'll do zero or 500 cals yet. I've been doing alot of exercise and am feeling a bit tired so am thinking perhaps I need a bit of fuel (am already under goal weight and have already had a 5:2 day on Tuesday). I'll see how the day goes.
My second fast of the week and it's going well. I am getting quite used to these liquid fasts, this being my seventh! I also feel good because people are noticing at work and saying that not only have I lost weight but that I look good as well  That being said, I still have pounds to go! :frown: I will be looking forward to tomorrow and 'breaking my fast' whenever I feel like eating, weigh day Sat am. Hopefully with good results
Afternoon everyone. Second 36hr fast for me this week (I'm not counting the two teaspoons of bolognaise I had on Monday), looking forward to today as feeling slimmer this week! Not hungry at all this morning, but that may be due to the curry I had last night which was very filling! Hope all of you trying for the first time have a good experience. Yet again I'm lacking in fluids so off to down some water :0)
Going well today - so much easier than last week. About to buy a pretty pair of fitflops with the money I've saved by not visiting the canteen this month.

Managed to do some household shopping in tesco at lunchtime without bother, which makes life easier - its good to use my lunchbreak productively.
Hi everyone
just in from work on my usual thursday liquid 36hr fast day.

All going well for me so far; hope its the same for everyone.

It took me a while to find the thread; I was looking for Thursday liquid fasting topic. Having only one thread for the week makes it much easier for people to decide which thread to post now many live in different time zones. The only disadvantage I see is we will get a large amount of posts. We have 120+ at the moment and over three days to go !!!
I tend to be put off by a large number of posts and only scan the first and last two pages.
What do other people think ?
I'm in today as well. I feel a bit hungry at the moment but I've come this far so I'll keep going. I've got a couple of houseworky type jobs to do this evening and then I'll flop in front of the telly with a cheeky wee glass of sparkling water.
Have fed both kids without any picking or desire to pick which has been nice! Still not hungry so sure I'll go the 36hrs now, usually this is my hunger zone so maybe my body is adjusting to no food as it did to one 500 cal meal. Ready to start the get to bed onslaught for the kiddies! Glad to be home after a manic day at work.
Not too hungry and managing to resist the smells form the kitchen (OH is cooking his evening meal as I've been to have my nails done!). Lots of green tea today and now a large mug of marmite. This thread has been very helpful. Thanks everyone.
I did my first 2 liquid fasts on Monday & Wednesday... They went well, although I find it really difficult not having milk in tea or coffee. Weigh day was today & I lost a pound, that's 8 since I began the fast diet & 2 stone in total! Anyway, was considering another fast either tomorrow or Saturday~ is that ok, or is 3 too many? My niece is getting married at the end of August & that's my current focus. I tried on a size 14 dress today & it fitted me! An amazing feeling but not buying 'the' dress until nearer the time. Xx
