People are doing this in a variety of ways. I do black tea and water all day, with one coffee with a splash of milk mid-morning.

Hi Kim83 - I do water, water, water, and more water (!) with the occasional veg stock drink thrown in and sometimes, if the mood takes me, a tea or coffee with a splash of milk. Hop on board with us and see if you like it?
Im about 13 weeks in now, and havent lost loads of weight, although my clothes are alot looser, so this may shake things up a little!
I agree about the weighing in - I generally weigh in once a week but if I feel it becomes too important and I am worrying about it.
I leave it for a couple of weeks until whatever the numbers say I will feel happy with my progress.
I'm in again for this week...
fasts will be today and Wednesday - liquid only definitely today and I'll see how I feel on Wednesday
Kim83 - for me liquids are a mix of extra dilute protein shake (1/2 strength) after a run, black coffee or tea, stock and water.... and I'll have a low cal hot chocolate this evening if I need it....
It works for me - I typically see a loss of up to 2lb the day after a liquid fast, then weight fluctuates up and down other days and I have an overall loss of 1lb+ per week even with enjoying the weekends...
I'm not joining you today as after a particularly mental busy weekend, I'm shattered today and need food.
I'll be liquid fasting tomorrow and will catch up with the rest of you again on Thursday ,

My take on liquid fasting is water only, but I graduated to that from having coffees with milk and sometimes sugar so have a low cal liquid (juice, soup, diet drink, whatever) if it helps you get used to not having solid food for a day. Plan some diversionary activity for when you would normally eat - come onto the forum or do something you really enjoy. The point here is not just about losing weight but also improving our quality of life overall - less focus on food, more focus on enjoying life!! Have a lovely, liberating, super enjoyable day everyone!
Like some others, I put on nearly 2lbs last week, but I had lost really well the previous two weeks,(nearly 10lbs ) so I think it was my body adjusting itself, retaining water etc.
I feel really energised nowadays and that is nearly as good as losing weight. Planning to have really busy days tomorrow and Thursday as that seems to help keep me on the straight and narrow.
Keep going everyone fasting today - we'll feel amazing tomorrow!
Yesterday I was in the car for 12 hours to pick up my daughter and return home. I thought that would make for an easy fast day, and it did. We stopped for a sandwich in the evening, so it wasn't a liquid fast.
This week is a bit crazy, so I'm not sure about my fast days. I might do 3 days with 500 cals instead of 2 liquid only, but I'll play it by ear.
Just ate my breakfast and am enjoying that post fast feeling.
