Hey Sally (fellow Tasmanian:)) and everyone else,

I'm in and I'm struggling. It's probably my 10th fast, it 1436pm and the baby is driving me nuts! She's almost 2 and it's tantrum day...even her hiccups are annoying me - she keeps demanding 'tanas' and then eating them too quickly. I almost never get frustrated with her so I'm blaming the fast. Why are some days so hard? I've had about 140 call today and I'm struggling not to blow it.

Any words of advice anyone? Anyone also know how to cure the baby's hiccups?

Hope everyone else is doing ok
5th fasting day today - trying for no food till 7pm-ish. I find it much easier than splitting up the calories into 2 or 3 meals.
I changed dinner plans too is freezing here as well, I'm thinking some steam fresh vegies, lean chicken breast. And don't you just hate when OH kept on trying to talk to you when clearly are feeling grumpy and hungry, mine is still at work thank goodness I hope yours says outside for you for a bit longer Sallyo.
Good morning/afternoon/evening all. Honeybee hope you feel better soon and writerscramp...count to 11, one extra should do it :)
I'm on my 3rd week of antibiotics and have only managed to fast for one day in that time. However I broke my once a month rule this morning out of curiosity and got on the scales...lost a pound which makes me a happy bunny.
Good luck all x
I'm not sure about curing hiccups I think I can recall I used to give mine just some warm water in bottle/cup to drink.
What have you planned for your dinner Writerscramp?
Maybe we can think of something you can have now to get you thru.
BTW mine kids used to annoy the heck out me when they were that age and I wasn't even fasting then, dont be to hard on yourself just breathe
I´m in too. Had a little "moist" weekend, so feeling little bloated. Well, back to the basics. Week 8 started. Had a breakfest for 300 kcals and having 200 kcal dinner, that´s todays plan.
Im in to. 6th fast day, thought it was 7th !!! For me it' s easier to split cals. I have just done my days cals 116 for breakfast 108 for lunch 237 for dinner . This allows me 40 cals to have hot choc before bed. This does seem to work for me but I have noticed that most of you fast all day till evening. I hope I have understood this WOE . If I find my weight loss stops I will have to re think . One more thing. My job is very active. We are wardens on a caravan site so today I will have morning in office then 1 1/2 hours cleaning shower block, office in afternoon plus an hours hand mowing. If I am understanding this it means I could increase my cals by about 80 cals on fast days but I don't. Have a great day everyone.....
I'm joining all of you too today. This is only my 3rd fast and 2nd week of this diet. So far i'm pleased with the results so let's go for it :)

Good luck everyone...
I'm here too, as usual. Doing another 36-hour water fast like last Monday, doing ok so far. Good luck everyone! :clover:
Count me in, although I fear a difficult one as it's a bank holiday so I'm at home (it's easier at work as no-one is eating around me)

Jay52 - many (most?) people (myself included) find it easier to save all the calories for the evening as it avoids tripping the 'hunger switch' but some people can't go that long without eating - just do whatever works for you :like:
Morning all, count me! Massively overindulged the last 4 days so looking forward to fasting today! Jay52,as I understand there is no right or wrong way of having uour cals on a fast day, its just a lot of people find it easier not to eat until all day until the evening :)
Just lost my reply, thank goodness I'm feeling a big better now. Thank you for your support all, I was really struggling there for 1/2 hour or so. I have a hope that I'll never take my frustrations out on my child and I managed to get through - I did have to leave the room 3 times but that's ok. Wow, something about that 4-530pm time really hits me hard.

We are supposed to be having salad with boiled eggs for dinner and I guess we will have to - would love to have soup or something but bought some really expensive organic leaves and herbs. My partner, who is also doing the 5:2 and not struggling in the slightest - frustrating man, will have a potato as well so I guess it's more like a warm salad. Bleh, still sounds horrid. Really need to look up some good crockpot meals I think. Yummy hot, fake creamy something. Better go before I get really disappointed in my salad!

This site rocks for support I have to say - thank you again :)

Another Monday morning faster here as well, to make the day easier ....

garage door to finish painting
2 Acers to take out of pots and plant in the garden (fair bit of digging needed)
an hours bowls practice sometime during day
plant up pots Acers came out of
weeding in garden

keeping busy helps! have a successful day everyone.
Hand up .. I'm in. I usually do a Tues and Thurs around work but great to have the flexibility to accomodate real life! Lost over 7 pounds in 6 weeks ( would have been 8.5 if I'd taken yesterday's reading - blasted water retention rubbish).
Says I to OH -"getting a bit slow now"
OH -" might seem slow to you but it's looking transformational to people around you!"
He's in my good books for another day then :)
