So glad you've finished those naughty breakfast cereals. Be gone you little bundles of sugary carbs....
I'm not a good cook, I just make what I know. Can't make a cake for toffee.

And I am so so pleased to hear that you've done the dinner. Sending more positive happy vibes to you so that you can continue with feeling happy, happy, happy.

Water ok, don't know what happened.

Will be back later, going to run now, then dinner, then footie is on so I will exit the living room for a wee while and annoy you lot. :?:

You're going to soak up some gravy with a jam donut?!

No you numpty, soaking it up with "tiger" French stick. Anyway I didn't get any as the kids demolished it.
I picked the girls (Lauren and her friend) up from guides, came straight in, went into the kitchen got a doughnut and a glass of red. Mmmmmmmmm

So I've decided and I'm making it public that..........
I'm ADfing during the week until my weight starts to drop. So mon weds fri, which means that I will be with fasting my bean every other week. Is that right? Is there a name for weekday ADF. Which means that Friday is no longer the beginning of the weekend with regards to wine. But I might make it a half fast, we shall see.

Plus I'm now exercising 7 days a week. :like:
Unsure of cals today, cheese and ham salad, full fat yog, liver, bacon etc etc, red wine, doughnut. And a run.

Flipping Eck! Are you sure you've recovered enough from your op for 7 days a week exercise?! I must say I am very impressed indeed. Actually, what you're doing...the Mon, Wed and Fri fasts are a bit similar to the EOD maintenance measures. Basically, once you get to your ideal weight Krista recommends you fast during the week and have the weekend off...so you're definitely on the right path, if not better because when you're maintaining you have 1000 cals per fast day...not bad eh?!

Oh I am Sooooooo excited and pleased (with a little tear in my eye). My sister has just emailed me some footage of my nephews unwrapping their Buzz Lightyears that I sent them for Christmas (yes one of them has only just arrived...I really did think it was lost, so I am so chuffed!) oh they look so sweet, I just wish I could be there to play with them. What little cuties!

And on that wonderful note I'll shall have a quick read of the Rosie Project and listen to Mark Kermode...and no doubt dream of Buzz Lightyear...in duplicate!!

Well I am such a happy Bean today! The sun is shining, the birds are twittering and I feel good! Mind you, I haven't actually got up yet but the sun just lifts my spirits. I've had a good result on the scales, Oates, and I'm pretty happy! However, the best news is that I actually feel so much better at the moment. I know it's way too early to think I've recovered, but it's a start...I'm a happy Bean

Hope your day at work goes well...and your second fast of the week (well done you!)

Speaky later...I'm off for another lovely walk, but this time around Fleet pond!

Bean :starving:

Woo hoo. I'm so very happy for you beany bobs. Enjoy the sunshine.

I'm home from work and now having a large cup of tea. Had a mug of my homemade tomato and lentil soup at midday. And my daughters nicked my last mug full which was earmarked for Fridays fast snack if needed.
Been giving low carb advice to my friend, we even dipped her wee to look for Ketosis, I told her to ditch the fruit and tomatoes!!!
So what's for dinner tonight, I've got salmon and roasted veg. Peppers, onions, courgettes and balsamic vinegar with olive oil and garlic drizzled over whilst cooking. Yum yum, I'm starving. Got class tonight too.

Thanks @Callyanna and@Carieoates - it was certainly a good morning. I managed to walk the girls for 40 mins in the sunshine. Had a rest listening to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo, my radio buddies who never fail to amuse me. Anyway, I then went crazy and folded some fitted sheets, tidied away some clothes..and now? And now I'm exhausted...zombified you could say, such is the nature of the beast. Never mind, I'm sure tomorrow will be better and I'm just about to eat my four cheese ravioli and sprouts. That'll put a smile on my face

Mind you...wait a minute...salmon? Doh! She's outdone me AGAIN!

You are so funny, BeanO, there's a lot of carbs in that there ravioli my dear. I hope they're offering you discount on those m and s meals! Lol. So what's mum having then?
As you can see by my recent food diaries, I'm not eating very many carbs so why am not losing weight. Hmphhhh. :frown: just want to throw my scales out of the window for a while and bring them back in when they're being sensible.

Thanks. It's jazzercise, look it up. It's aerobics with a bit of jazz, a bit of street, a bit of pop, a bit of country (not often ), some boxercise, then strength and stretch. Lots of laughing, groaning and the odd grunt. No men, there's all shapes ages and sizes. Sounds like an advert doesn't it. There are some you tube clips about.
I'm getting nervous, it's sons interview tomorrow and his tutor said that he wouldn't be being professional if he told him his chances? What does that mean? There's two of them, and he's the only one who drives, and that was one of the important things they specified. I'm going to be a wreck at work tomoz!!

carieoates wrote: It was lovely going back to work, fasting is much easier for me when at work. I had a text from Madcatlady too, she was heading down to Brighton with work, and she did say on Friday that she was staying in a hotel with her boss and wasn't sure if he'd expect them to eat together so may not be able to fast.

I'm having my special fast day moussaka (what a coincidence) is yours a M&S one, how many cals in it mine comes out at about 250cals. just made it, will pop in the oven just before 5 so it can go down before class.
I am a bit tired, but class will wake me up. I will have had 362 cals today, will be burning about 500 later. So I've got a few left for a treat later. I'm allowed 576 but will prob not have them all.

Just been catching up on this thread as I while away the hours of my last hotel night this week........pleased to report I fasted Monday and today - the boss was fine about eating on his own Monday (he told his wife I wasn't eating and she filled him in about 5:2!). Last night we found a Brazilian grill where you help yourself to salad etc then the waiters come round with all these different meats on skewers from the grill and carve it off for you - lamb, sirloin, chicken hearts (!), gammon, topside, etc etc - very yummy and filling! Just had a Waitrose salad for my dinner and have a fruit salad to complete my cals today. Looking forward to hitting the breakfast buffet tomorrow before I leave then probably won't need lunch....might have supper out with hubs as he will probably have to go home and then come back for me from the station. Must get some new scale batteries so I can weigh Fri morning - has been over a week so got my hopes up - fingers crossed! Anyway - I better get out of your tent - don't want to go on but been a bit deprived of human contact today and as Oatesy knows, I do like to chat!
