Well done @callyanna Now you can get a car in your garage lol. :like:
our Hubby's must be related coz we've never put our car in our garage in fact we've only just got room to get in or out.
No-Way am I decluttering in there ever / his job deffo
but I'm whittling away at a few chores as in kitchen units and top of wardrobes still plenty to go at though. :clover: :clover:
Yes@[tag]Sue.Q,[/tag] once the bed bases had been cleared we found a child's bike belonging to my son who's now 35! cleaned up it might even do for my grandson so bonus all round!
Oh dear I must confess that my CD declutter was just a tidy up, reorganise on shelf and replace loose CD's into proper boxes. We did a big clear out of load of CD's ... many from kids rooms and they are up in attic. I have a load of vinyl LP's as well... just could not find a proper place to donate to save for one that specialised in same but too awkward to get heavy load to with no parking handy in city centre.

Could someone tell me what 'tagging' means? :)
@Cobham That's a tag! And if you look at the top of the page by the cartoon woman in yellow t-shirt, under Welcome Back to the Forum, it should say 1 new message. If you click on that, it tells you which forum someone has messaged you from.
To tag someone: when composing a reply there are a number of little buttons above the box you type in. Second from right beside youtube is tag. Hit that, and put the persons name in the middle. Voila!
Just chucked out a deep fat fryer, a milk frothing jug (that had a hot spot and always burned the milk in that place) and a paddling pool.
Thanks for that Annura! so it is a way of knowing someone has posted a comment that stems from one that I might have written.... ok got that.... :)
Hubby says we are doing a carboot this weekend, so I hopefully will get rid of some clutter.
:frown: I have been so busy since spring - I'll be decluttering during my hols late August - can't wait, but I'd prefer to be travelling!
Just popped in to see what you've all been up too. I have been so busy that I haven't had much of a chance to get in. I bought some lovely new clothes today so am going to have another go at my wardrobe at the weekend. I like the idea of the minimalist game and will join in with that. Brownie points awarded to Callyana  good work everyone x
One not very attractive radiator cover gone from the garage - popped it out on the drive with a 'free to a good home' sign and it was gone soon after :like:

The girls and I manned up today and between us struggled to the DEBRA shop with our various bags, including the bra mountain :victory: We also took a huge bag of old shoes to the shoe bank. I utterly refuse to do the tip trip and ant anyway, as the car battery is flat and DH needs to charge it p.

Have also negotiated the passing on of two junior inflatable beds, just need to wait a few weeks until my friend has moved into her new house to actually be rid of them.
I've finally taken the unwanted clothes to the charity shop along with some books, it's so good to get rid of them.

Now I have to declutter in earnest, I sleep in the spare room which has always been the junk room, it's piled high with boxes of kitchen stuff from when we had a new kitchen three years ago. On top of that is a heap of pillows and duvets, winter and summer, which get used when my son and granddaughter come to stay. Mixed in with that lot are most of my clothes because I couldn't be bothered to put them away in the main bedroom. There's also a huge box of fabrics from when I used to do sewing.

Well, now I have bought myself a wardrobe and the only place to put it is where the huge overflowing pile is, but I'm NOT going to fill it with the junk, that's got to go! Somehow I will find a place for the duvets and my clothes will hang neatly in the new wardrobe. I think I need some of those decluttering TV personalities to help, so far I haven't sorted a thing. I'm not sure when the wardrobe will be delivered but it will be soon. Aaargh!
Well done @winsome and @coffeetime I wonder if you could put your pillows and duvets in those vacuum bags that squash things flat? I have some that work by rolling them up.

Today I am going to have a go at the kitchen cupboard where all the tea/coffee/breakfast things hang out. Seeing as I no longer have breakfast I am sure that a lot of it can go. Mind you, I do have a lot of different flavoured teas now and the boxes are stacked precariously. My Tupperware is on the top shelf of that cupboard and if I can bring myself to, I will sort through that too. I tend to use the same size over and over for my packed lunches of salads, dressings and yoghurt. I have some very small oblong systema ones that hold 100g of full fat yoghurt. No cheating when I use those!

If I have time I am going to get some plastic boxes with lids, (love those things) put all our walking boots in and put them in the garage safe from spiders
Brilliant idea @Wendy Darling, the duvets take up so much room. The wardrobe is being delivered today - Sunday!
...and I haven't sorted a thing, it will have to go in the garage until I clear out the room. This has happened before, when we moved here I bought a lovely antique wardrobe with a mirrored door and carved panels, we put it in the garage and left it there for a few years. When we wanted to use it, it was damp and had warped, it had a drawer at the bottom which we had stored separately and the whole drawer was twisted sideways and the damp had got to the mirror too. So we had to get rid of it.
It won't happen again! I'll be clearing the room in the next few days.
We had some flat pack furniture delivered this week which meant we had lots of cardboard boxes and polystyrene to dispose of. Normally hubs would say 'we'll leave it in the garage just for now', but this time I insisted we cut up most of the cardboard for the recycling bin and will take everything else to the dump tomorrow.
I bet it didn't take long either Callyanna. Well done
