Must be soo great@GMH to get into bed and just fall fast asleep mustnt it! I know i used to do that when younger.
I too used to fear skipping brekkie..i was worried i might faint! Now i find skipping breakfast AND lunch totally do able tho sometimes not much fun! And have never felt at all faint because of it. Give it a go,coz as you said, you can always turn it into a low cal day or a feed day or a 16:8 x

@CandiceMarie I fall asleep straight away like a log, but I am a light sleeper and wake up, then can't get back to sleep. I think you misread me regarding breakfast, they ONLY eat breakfast, no lunch, no dinner nothing else till the following day. I often skip breakfast on fast day, but I do much better with a good breakfast, not tea n toast or a bowl of cornflakes, but a hearty mushroom, cheese omelette or a bowl of porridge with Greek yoghurt, then I don't snack all day, just lunch and dinner and sometimes a mini protein bar. But I feel nervous about no lunch or dinner. :-)

Oh it's so frustrating when you fall asleep but wake soon after and stay awake..i hate it.
Agree re the good brekky..the carby one just wakes the Carb Monster for the day!
Whichever way we do our 24 hr fast, whether its stopping eating from one dindins to the next,or from one brekky to the next, it's changing the habits of a lifetime! Either way,we go overnight and miss two square meals..or spread those meagre cals out into three tiny portions! I just hope the health benefits are gonna make it worthwhile for us all! X

Not settling tonight :) It's 4am so I'll be up in a couple of hours with one of my usual 4:3 days of fasting ahead of me.

I've got some interesting bits, pieces and projects which should make the day fly through before going for a paddle this evening.

Ach, that sounds very unpleasant, @CandiceMarie.

I'm just having trouble finding a position in which I can sleep because of my shoulder trouble...

The day's largely been nicely busy but OK with a few fraught moments. What was interesting was that at a couple of points I was offered something that I was relieved to refuse on the grounds that it's a fast day (I didn't like the look of it and was relieved to have a good 'reason' to refuse without causing offence).

Ah, ha@Ssure - I just missed you last night. I visited the tent at 3.30AM and was going to post "sitting alone in the corner of this dark, empty tent (lounge) sipping a cuppa tea" :dazed: :dazed: but decided I did not want to wake anyone, including myself!

I am feeling a bit zonked now - fortunately I'm on leave, then again unfortunately I am

For those who can't sleep tonight I find lying flat on my back on the floor for 10 mins drains the core energy and brings restfulness. :?:

Guess walking up at 3am down under there is always someone awake in the middle of their day, somewhere in the world. At least I have a quiet day today, might start early so I can get home for a nap :-) I fell asleep on the train home yesterday...always worrisome after sleeping thru my alarm and station once...but yesterday I woke myself with a snore!! How embarrassment, Effie!

Yes, :) You're always trailblazing into the new day, @GMH. Tho' it's a lovely, sunny way to look at the sleeplessness. :)

03:30 must be the Hour of the Wolf, @Lizbean :) I find myself back in the tent, wishing I were asleep rather than :sleepy: A cup of tea sounds good tho' and I might potter through to the kitchen and make a cup of red bush (how I used to loathe that and how tastes change - or all of the varieties that I first tried genuinely did taste like smoked fish).

Hi folks

Not been here for a while, but I'm here tonight courtesy of a 24r LOF. I broke the fast with a <150 cal veg curry and that was supposed to be it until the morn.

However, earlier I made a spicy fruit soda bread for a friend - and now a quarter of that has gone along with half my lentil curry which was supposed to be for my dinner today!

Ah well, doesn't happen very often - although when it does it's always when I have to get up early. 7.30 - which is the middle of the night for me!

Hope there's no-one else around and you're all safely tucked up in bed - which is where I'm heading right now!

Hi @CandiceMarie - don't you believe it. the issue is if you post to this tread in the middle of the night, you might end up chatting all night and into the morning, when you really are finally ready to snooze ......at 3.30am
Er, does that make sense?
