Not yet I hope - possibly not at all
Brrrrrrrrrrr!
Bbbrrrrrr from me too!!
Slowly shrinking short arse here, very slow, but going the right way anyway.
Just off to a Japanese tea ceremony at Mona, Museum of Old and New Art, a controversial, private museum just outside Hobart. It is a fabulous place, with interactive, shocking, and ancient art, an amazing place. The tea ceremony is part of an art installation in a mirrored room so we will be a work of art ourselves for a while. can't wait!!!

Debs - have neard of that ... There was an article in a Sunday supplement here a while ago - it sounded very interesting, unusual architecture, art and collection policy! Do tell us how you got on!
Hi there,
Well Silverdarling, I had no idea Mona fame had spread so far! The guy who owns it made his money through a gambling syndicate and invested it in a museum! It brings people from all over and is putting Hobart on the map. It certainly reflects his tastes and interests, mainly sex and death! But aren't all of us?! A lot of the art is commissioned for the museum too, everything from Egyptian sarcophagi to Roman coins to Sidney Nolan to the most modern of world artists. It is fascinating though and a lot to challenge thought. I like the trampoline this time, hung underneath with bells made from gun cartridges and peace bells made from ammunition which you ring by jumping on it! I had a go of course!
The tea ceremony is a current installation in a mirrored room which reflects all of the intricacies and deliberacy of the tea ceremony back at you, really amazing.

Ok you lazy bunch, all hiding are we?!
The Sassy Seniors are out and about but we're all hiding and skulking, it just isn't good enough!
My weight loss may be slower than an Olympic snail marathon, but I'm still in it to win it.
How are you all doing in shortie land?!

Hi, @Debs. I'm not hiding. I'm in it to win it too! Oh, wait, it's not a competition. I forgot...
I had a nasty shock at my Friday weighing - "gaining" a pound and a half. That's in quotes cause I'm not sure it's real. Will find out this Friday, but just in case, I had an extra fast day on Saturday. Twas easy, because we didn't do anything but work all day
That was the furthest off my trend line that I've been since I started weighing myself in about June (started 5:2 in March but spent the first few months afraid to see any numbers, then was pleasantly surprised). I've had a startlingly steady loss.
I'm still really hoping to celebrate with Thanksgiving dinner. No, not pig out. Not at all. Just enjoy the novelty of eating normally on a Thursday. Of course, I won't skip Thanksgiving in any case. But if I'm not at goal, I'll make myself have a fast on that Friday. Instead of my lovely leftover turkey casserole

Not lost any weight nor inches for over a month now. 4:3. 16:8 to no avail. I had increased my carbs to 100g a day as I'm exercising more. Maybe I need to cut them back again. Maybe it's harder for us shorties?
How frustrating, @rawkaren! Though I think the exercise is more important than the weight loss. Especially when you are in the healthy range. I took a look at your blog and I'm quite envious. Lately my exercise is limited to running up and down the stairs in my house. And I don't actually mean running. Definitely annoyed with myself.
If it's true that men lose weight more easily (this is stated with some frequency here on the forum, but is there any evidence???), then it would make sense that shorter women would have more difficulty.
In my case, I have this feeling that my body has a set point, and it's about there right now, and isn't happy that I'm trying to make it smaller than it's programmed to be. But that may be utter nonsense....

Just go to any online TDEE calculator and enter your details, first as a woman then as a man and see how much higher your TDEE would be if you were a man...that's one reason why they lose more easily! Plus women are 'designed' to carry more fat so as to have the bodily reserves to grow a baby, thus a woman's body resists weightloss at a higher fat % than is the case for men.
