Thank you wendyjane, I love flowers :hugleft:  :hugright:

I hadn't realised that my BMI is in the heathy range, I thought its still above 25 - WOW, what an achievement, it's never been "normal", as far back as I can remember :victory: :clover: :like:

I may be hallucinating, jen, but I could swear the last time you posted, your BMI was 24 point something, and now it's back to 25.05. So I'm certainly confused at the least.

That said, I don't believe the BMI is significant to the hundredths place. It is always posted that way on this forum, and people who obsess about numbers (ie. most of us) seem to think there is actually a difference between 24.99 and 25.01.

The real point is that if you aren't there yet, you're pretty darn close. So my congratulations still stands.

Today is Fast day #3 for me as I mentioned, going well, had only water and tea until dinner time and will not have anything else until beakfast time tomorrow. I didn't fuss about what I ate on the non fast days and it was very easy. It is also weigh day AND the result is......down 1kg!!! I am delighted!!! And so inspired to carry on!!

I am one or two fast days from goal, I think. My new TDEE is 1251. Talk about LOW! That is exactly half of what "they" (some nutrition experts, I guess) think that a man's TDEE "should be".

Yes it does temper your appetite Candice, but if I don't fast for 3 days I go back to my greedy self  get it while you can (I mean the appetite suppressant not the hunks)

Hey Shorties! Hope you are all going well. I am having a very lazy start to my Sunday, still in dressing gown with laptop on lap! I am a week and a bit into this new way of eating and hoping to keep it going successfully into the future. The 1kg I lost this week has spurred me on:). I have a question..Is it OK to swap your two fast days around? For eg, if a function falls on your chosen fast day, is it OK to swap it to another day? I would hate to have paid $45 in advance and not get to enjoy the feast:D

Yes, changing days and having the flexibility is one of the great things about this WoE :))

Morning Shorties, well it is here! (Short and morning I mean!!)

Lost another 800g this week, the global warming on my glacial loss must have kicked in! Maybe I can get to my interim target by Xmas after all?! I am doing three days this week, M,W,F and a bit of 16:8 in between. I can sustain it if I have a couple of naughty days

Went to a really nice organic farmers' market yesterday, such yummy choices! Opted for a buckwheat crepe, Banoffi style, yum! Tasted gorgeous goat Persian feta and halloumi. Bottle of champers last night to celebrate us two girls getting new jobs, so feeling full this morning and semi fasting until lunchtime at least.

Hope you are all losers too

Hey, @Debs, when you have a chance, can we hear more about trekking in the Himalayas (which you mentioned in your first post on this thread)??

I wish. We are planning to travel more as hubs is close to retiring, but I know that's not something he could do. And probably not something he would have chosen to do before the back troubles began.

So I will look for your post and live vicariously!

Thanks for your reply, Minigill. It is so liberating to be flexible like this!! Today is my 4th Fast day since I started this plan. Going well so far. Monday is house clean day, so I have been keeping fairly busy which is always a help. If I sit here at the computer for too long, or reading a book I think I need to nibble! Tomorrow I have a Christmas morning tea function, then on Wednesday a Christmas lunch. I will endeavour to not go too overboard, but I am a bit of a sucker for home baked goodies:(. Both are linedance functions so I will make sure I am on the dance floor working off whatever I have eaten:). Whatever happens, Thursday will be the next Fast day which gives me a feeling of being in control to a certain extent.
