Me too - 3lbs off for my first 4:3 week. Its a long time since I lost 3 lbs and I intend to carry on this way of eating.

Had a lovely day that included eating prunes, cabbage, peas, celery, in fact anything real and fibrous, and it worked, so I'll continue with the 4:3 fast some more tomorrow after today's curry :0)
I also found GF brown bread flour in an independant health food shop full of fab stuff, and a real coffee and tea shop that seems like heaven!
Happy bunny today :0D

I'm having trouble fitting 3 spaced out fasts into my week (admittedly I refuse outright to fast on a weekend which doesn't help matters). This week there are social events on Tues, Weds and Thurs, although I've cancelled on Tues to save a bit of money.

This means that for the second week in a row I'll be doing 5:2 (fasting Monday and Friday this week). I could technically fast on Tuesday, but fasting back to back was hard work last week and it makes me resent the WOE a bit.

I had a heavy weekend and I really don't want to undo all my hard work, so I'm thinking of doing 16:8 (eating between 12 noon and 8pm) tomorrow as a tiny bit of damage control. This will save me the 250 cals or so I'd normally use on a couple of weetabix and a cup of tea with milk, and will also stop me nibbling late into the evening. I'll eat a normal lunch and dinner in that window though, with no snacks.

As far as I can tell, next week is all clear for a 4:3 week, but the week after isn't yet again!

As long as it keeps working I'm happy, but I do like the safety net of 4:3 in case I creep over my TDEE on feed days.

*crosses fingers*

Hello!!!! Anyone in here? **tent looks very empty, oh and there's dust everywhere**
I did my first of this weeks 3 fast yesterday and it went well. I really wanted to cave in in the evening but just told myself to get on with it. Anyway, this morning I was below my pre-UK weight and less than half a lb away from my lowest weight on this WOE, yeah!!!! Just got to stick with it now and try to hold on to that low number until weigh in on Saturday.
** just going to have a bit of a clean up in here before I go...... That's better. I'll leave the door open to air the tent out a bit. May be more 4:3ers will pop in now it's been freshen up** :)

Justdee, you are not alone - I am new to this but am finding 4:3 easier than 5:2 although sometimes the calories on the third fast on Fridays is more than 500 calories! However that is better than a complete blow out which used to,happen to begin the weekend.

Hello and Hi.
I have been away for some time but am back now. Did GREAT on 4:3 a year ago but slowly slipped back into my old ways. :-( So started again this last Monday. I am fasting Monday, Tuesday and Fridays. This is God sent for me. Very excited and feeling better already....except for the slight headache. :-)

Hi, may I join this tent?
Today is my second fast for the week and it is going well so far. I have been doing 4:3 now for the past 3 weeks as I found that with 5:2 and 16:8 I merely maintain. Next week, however, I am going with my two cousins to Las Vegas (my first time) and I plan to do 16:8 so that I don't return with a 5 pound gain!

Hi Dee well I'm here but keeping in the wings because I've not managed 2 yet hoping for better results soon,
I'm restarting 4:3 as of Monday I'm taking a couple of days off doing 18:6 days out with family catch ups so I'm going with caution these 3days, having failed Mon+ Tues as true 500 cal fastdays, thanks for the concern @justdee hope thing are good for you seeing your all time lower number :like:
All normal services will be resumed asap!!! :clover: :clover: :clover:
Welcome back to all who previously went AWOL
let's make this tent ROCK!!! :like:  :victory: :like:

Sorry all, neighbouring farmer came out of his yard Monday morning with the bucket of his tractor up and wiped out the phone cable. Lots of calls and getting cross, finally fixed this afternoon. Will update on my blog later!

Hallo justdee, sorry been 16/8ing as 4/3 wasn't working too well for me (usual bunged up problems). I might be 5/2 tomorrow and Sunday and possibly Tuesday as a 4/3 if the plan comes together, and my body co-operates! My current weight is a shocking 11st 8lbs, you can see how wrong it's become, and I don't want it to get any worse.
Hope everyone else is doing well {{{+}}}

Hi all, glad this place has filled up a bit, I've found the forum to be a bit quiet lately, I wish it would go back to how is was pre-change over. @Denversuz, @swan51and myself can keep each other company until you all return. Glad you're back online @bobshouse, drives me nuts being off line along with living in the countryside. I imagine getting the phone line put back up was a nightmare as well. # stress.
Pleased you'll be back with us on Monday @Sue.Q, come on hun, I need you by my side. and remember this is the easiest time of year to fast. Once those dark nights start drawing in the difficulty-ness goes up a level. Lets make a difference this summer.
@Azurebluehope you fine what work best for you. We're here if/when you come back to 4:3. :)
Good luck all.
Today has been good for me. 2nd fast of the week done. Had salmon and pasta with green beans for Dinner. The first time I've had pasta on a fast day, was always afraid I'd feel hungry a hour after but so far so good. Tomorrow I eat :)
