Re: The 4:3 tent is up.

YooHOO *waves*
I'm still 4:3ing - feels as though I've been doing it forever. Actually, it must be about a year now, becasue I started to try and boost the weight loss for my holidays last year  where does the time go?
Admittedly, I have been a bit lax; Sundays are fine, Tuesdays are ok and sometimes Thursdays go a bit 16:8 ish. It's the weekend here so can be a bit tempting!
Anyhow, despite having toyed with 5:2 plus 16:8 I'm still here. It's habit now!
Been a bit harder this week- I am so hungry and have had a couple of nasty 'dips' one day. Seems to have sorted itself out although I've not fasted since that happened. Wakened in the wee hours this morning ravenous! So I'll fast tomorrow.
Body is being very rebellious just now. It's a case of mind over matter- I do mind and it does matter!
Thanks for clearing up the tent and giving it an airing @justdee

I had a successful fast yesterday and this morning I'm below my lowest weight on this WOE. YEAH!!!!!!! That means at last I've got rid of my xmas gain. It's only taken 6 months of up and down, just got to keep it going down now. Tempted to fill my tracker in today as I'm just under my mini goal but think I will leave it until Saturday as I may relax if I fill it in today. So today is a nonfastday and I've been up for 2 and a half hour, I don't feel hungry and don't know what to eat to break my fast. I know I could make today a 16:8 but I think going without today will make my last fast of the week (tomorrow) much harder. I think I'll bake a nice cake later (sorry todays fasters). I know I'll only be able to manage a small piece as stomach won't be able to take anymore than that. Oh I love 4:3

Hi everyone. 3rd fast of the week for me.....well 3rd fast in a long time.....no problems except with a couple of head aches that went away after drinking water. Fasting m-w-f. Mis-posted before. I tried fasting 2 days in a row and it wasn't pretty. :-( Encouraging to read your posts and see people hanging in there and not drifting off like I did. I am not weighing myself....at least I am trying to not weigh myself .....this time. I just need to get down into the next lower pant size. Not much fits and it's discouraging to not have anything to wear. Not to mention just feeling physically BAD with this overweightness. So as I said encouraged to be here. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Very pretty here in Colorado. Lots of pretty little baby birds at our feeders this time of year.

I had a disastrous fast on Wednesday as a result of eating an egg for lunch and waking up the hunger monster. Still lost .3 of a pound though. I hope today goes much better. I have a week's holiday looming next week and I hope to get through it by doing 16:8.

So it's the last fast of the week for me and I've had the best week in a long long time (fastwise). All my fast this week have been surprisingly easy and I've even had to make myself eat on nonfastdays (a first for me). We're having a heatwave here (47 degrees yesterday) so that may have something to do with it. I'm having paella for dinner tonight, another first for a fastday. I'll be sure to weigh it out so I don't go over. I'm getting sick of eating the same things now, so trying new meals on fastdays now I don't feel like I have to fill up every time I eat.
@swan5116:8 worked well for me a few weeks ago when I was away. I only gained 1lb and I was eating yummy, naughty stuff all week. The hard bit was getting back to full fast after the break, I just wanted to carry on eating yummy stuff. Good luck :)

First fast underway 4:3 for me again now :like:
Beef dinner tonight but I'm replacing my potatoes with the lower carb turnip and celeriac mash plus loads of veg.
Doing back2back with tomorrow because of stuff I've got on but I'm fine doing these and a busy day on for tomorrow which will help keep me occupied for all the day then return for a chicken salad.
Feeling really good and my motivation is very high.
How you doing@justdee & @Bobshouse

I'm finding it a bit hard today @Sue.Q. I had a cup-a-soup a few hours ago but I really want my chicken salad now and it's only 5:30. Will have to wait a few more hour yet. I am going to make it to the end of the day and I'll be very happy when tomorrow is here. Think I'll get the vac out to kill an hour. Keep going hun, sounds like you're in a good place. :)

@justdee
Good luck Dee we can do this especially when you remember how good a true fastday makes us feel
I'm OK feeling very good maybe that's the lower carbs yesterdays BBQ salad and grilled spicy celeriac ok
There was the 2 glasses of red, but they do say if you're not hungry you must be fatburning and I could certainly use some of that, I've only pledged 7lbs because I've been rubbish all year and I'll be very
happy with that.

I would be happy with 7lbs too, that's loads on this WOE, but now you have pointed out my BMI, I'm going for it. I'll be ok today, there is no way I'm giving in, I just want my dinner now. I've just had a bit of left over veg from yesterdays dinner, seems to have done the trick. Tomorrow we eat :)

Yup! Did it! Just had my cold chicken salad and feel good. Went out for the afternoon to keep me out of the kitchen! Am looking forward to my breakfast tomorrow! Might be up early! Hubby gave me a pressie today to cheer me up...the new little kindle. Have downloaded an old favourite free...Pride and Prejudice... And will go to bed early to read. Have not read that book for years. Altogether a much better day.

A kindle. What a wonderful gift! My husband got one recently and loves it. Getting out of the kitchen sounds like a very good idea. Will follow you. :)
