Don't worry, I am, too tired to worry much at the moment!

Poor @Debs are you working too hard? xx

I think I will just HAVE to have some cheese now!

Bit disappointed this morning as I experienced the first time I haven't lost weight after a fast! Hey ho! Maybe a couple of days will reveal what I wish to see

Hope everyone is ok here in the ADF tent. The sun is shining here so I will shortly be taking my girls out for that morning constitutional. No doubt I will return at least two pounds lighter...yeah right!!

Hi beanlet, yes a bit frantic here at the moment, but at least when I'm driving noone can phone me! Such big distances between sites on dirt roads makes the driving tiring too. A walk with your hounds sounds like a lovely plan!

Such an interesting job you've got. Are you surrounded by men? xx

Woke up hungry - probably due to eating early last night before giving blood :frown:
Passed on birthday cake at Twinsclub and had a scrummy baby to cuddle
Am still blooming hungry and have a slight tummy ache - probably TOTM :frown:
Felt good wearing my new, VERY fitted leather biker jacket
The sun is shining
Did I mention that I am STARVING?? :starving:
Hubby is away for a few nights :frown:
I'm absolutely shattered :sleepy:
The girls have a play date after school so I can have a long nap

@nursebean don't be too despondent. I've had that a few times, but it all works out in the end. Do your scales do kg as well as stones/lbs?

I'm thinking of switching to kg for weighing. I like it when Tim says 'down 200g' - it sounds so precise and I like precision. Would also tie in with the displayed weight loss on screen...

Actually, I lie by omission. Knowing me, I would continue to weigh in stones and lbs as well as kg

Helloooooo ADF'ers! @nursebean let me know about this tent as I'm just starting trying ADF in order to get some more structure into my eating and hopefully to stop my compulsive over eating! Read through the thread a bit and all you guys have done so well, so really want to give ADF a try :) So far this week have fasted Monday and today. Trying to weigh myself daily but keep forgetting haha. Would love any advice :) :geek:

Oh hi there @britneyglad you found us! Looks as though you're out of sync with me because my fast is tomorrow...hey ho! Yes, I think you'll find we've all had some success with this way of fasting

I do have a confession. I've eaten way or should that be weigh, too much food today. Fish and chips and later a cream sponge thing. Boy do I feel piggy! Mind you, miracle upon miracle I've realised I don't actually like fish n chips that much now, so will just save them for holidays by the sea...they taste different there

I know what you mean about lbs or kg @Winsome. A lot of peeps in here use kg don't they. But I've always weighed in stones...anything else seems alien to me. Oh well maybe I'll give it a go one day...actually maybe it'll be tomorrow when the scales scream at me!

Have a great evening and even better Thursday. Keep up the good work everyone xx

Welcome to the tent Britney

I find it useful to plot any days when I genuinely can't or REALLY don't want to fast, and mark up my fast days on the calendar accordingly. That way, any adjustments can be made along the way - you may decide to add in an extra fast back to back or skip one to fit around your social life. Personally I haven't managed back to back yet so just accept that sometimes skipping a fast is going to happen. I like to have a plan though.

Also, if switching from 5:2 to ADF, daft and obvious as it sounds, you will do a lot more fast days and therefore need to have meal choices worked out. I cheated in the first couple of weeks and ate a lot of M&S ready meals just because I didn't have to think about it. It worked, but there's no denying that I can generally make more of my calories by cooking myself.

Good luck, and keep us posted :clover:

hey mind if I join in
Just starting my second week of ADF and unfortunately my second diet in the year  . Hey ho lets hope it goes better this time, especially with my determination to be at a healthy weight for university. Sorry if i'm intruding nursebean but what illness is it that you have?

Hi all, @nursebean, yes, surrounded by men, do you want me to send you one? . Give me your order and I'll see what I can do for you!
Welcome britney and memorex, be good to share your stories too.

Had an appalling night, still awake at 1.30am with the mother of all headaches, and feeling very delicate this morning and really rubbish. I was going to fast but I don't feel up to it, just too fragile.
Will try again tomorrow if I'm feeling better.

@Debs I hope you feel much better soon. Take it steady

BTW, if you're taking orders for men, I'll have Jason Statham, straight up, no dressing

Off to bed now, goodnight/day all

Don't spose you listen to Mark Kermode and Simin Mayo do you @Winsome only Kermode often does Jason Staitham impressions...he does like him by the way...but hates Danny Dyer, another of his impressions!

Ooh any man I want? Hmm tricky...but yes please @Debs

Welcome @Memorex13 it's great to see you here! Your second week, eh? How did your first week go? Are you finding it pretty easy? As for my illness, sorry I just assume everyone on here knows (I go on about it enough  ) I have chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as ME. Basically I get exhausted when doing the tiniest thing and have permanent muscle aches and pains. I've been on a good run lately, though and have bean able to do a bit more...dog walking, a trip to the cinema yesterday! I'm building up to cooking a Hairy recipe and am thinking of cooking their lasagne. We'll see  anyway, I don't mean to go on about my illness but it does have such a big grip on me. I just wonder how much more weight I'd lose if I were active. Better hurry up and get better!

Anyway, I wasn't too disappointed with my weigh-in after yesterday's terrible diet of fish n chips and cream sponge (not altogether mind) I've only put on 2lb, the usual amount after a feast day. I think I might have got away with it

Sorry to hear you had a horrible headache @Debs hope you're ok xx

Hi there bean, I'll be glad when today is over, so tired and grumpy. I seem to have been unable to fast the last two days, headspace just not right. Very frustrating :sleepy:
