You cant beat a freshly caught and cooked snapper! Pull it out the day you eat it and it is food from God!

fish and chips are good anywhere...surely!!

Well, slightly disappointed because didn't get to my 11:7 like I wanted. However, I have a feeling I will reach that on Monday morning weigh in!

I STILL love ADF! Have I mentioned that lately?!

well today was feast day and I can say I feasted! I ate a whole loaf of bread and then cooked a big roast chook for dinner! Will be interesting to see what story the scales tell.

Now I know some have said with fasting they get a bit "clogged" well I have found my secret weapon! All I have to do is eat an extra big bowl of Yoghurt and literally within about 30mins my bowel is squeaky cleaned right out of me haha

@nursebean loving the March hare :like:

Here's hoping Monday brings your much wanted number.

@TBrewerton have to agree that freshly caught snapper is amazing. Hubby and i went fishing in Bermuda and I caught loads. The boys weren't so lucky  We took some bvknto the hotel and they cooked it for us. The staff had some and of course the boat captain took his cut. I've also had wonderful mackerel caught less than a kilometre from my house, gutted on the beach and eaten within the hour. That really is something special. Mackerel deteriorates by the hour!

The best fish and chips I've ever eaten was in Bermuda. Battered wahoo chunks and chips - fabulous! Closely followed by jumbo haddock and chips at graveleys in Harrogate.

Glad it's not a fast day LOL - I'm starving now :starving:

Tim, black coffee or oats the morning after a fast does the same for me. Who needs colonic irrigation?

Yes I have to agree with you there @Winsome I'm pretty sure black coffee and porridge does the trick for me too

Ooh Bermuda! I should anything tastes better when you're in Bermuda!

A WHOLE LOAF Tim?! Man Alive!! I'm a gettin outta here...

Cute avatar bean!!
Nice work Tim, hope it was really nice bread!
Wish my bowels were a bit easier to tame! More figs methinks!

At the risk of horrifying people, I have to say I find fish and chips betted here as the fish is freshly cooked while you wait, although the chips can be undercooked sometimes. The best ones I had were in Kaikoura in NZ, perfect thin crispy batter to die for!!
Damn, forgot I am fasting today!!

Another experiment for me this week, I am going to try and intersperse my fast days with a couple of Dukan attack days, and lots of metamucil!!!!

Oh wow! Dukan days? Hmm I wonder if that'll work? I certainly did very well when I tried to Dukan. I enjoyed the oats for breakfast but I did get sick of eggs, bacon, ham and those seafood sticks...and I always use to CRRRave cereal! Anyway, I look forward to hearing how it goes for you @Debs xx

Talking of locations for best food, I think the best pizza I have ever had (and I'm not really a pizza fan and rarely eat them) was in Kalgoorlie (have you been there @Debs? It was a Hawaiian pizza and truly delish! Sorry, shouldn't mention that when you're fasting...how cruel

I'm still chuffed with myself for leaving chips today. How did THAT happen? And I'm fasting tomorrow :dazed:

Good luck fellow ADFers and keep up the good work xx

Bean :pizza:

Hi All!
I left some chips on Friday as well bean. I haven't been to Kalgoorlie but I'd like to at some stage.

Slightly lower weight today and finally saw under 26 BMI on the scale so that is a relief. I would like to get under my Xmas/Valentines target before I go home!!

Bean, I think you might be getting Atkins and Dukan confounded, Dukan is low fat protein so I have stocked up with salmon and free-range ham.
Roast chook and avocado rolls for dinner, one of my favourites!

Hello everyone, just peeking in to see how you all are. Beany did you ditch the cereals ? I did Atkins and dukan, lost loads on them but it was bloomin hard work. These days if I need a snack I'm more likely to get a couple of slices of ham.
We used to take seafood sticks to work and tried out every brand until we found the ones we liked. It was good fun. Some were better in texture, others too sweet, a massive difference to be honest.
Dukan attack is hard too, the very thought of no vegetables sends me into a cold sweat now. But it does work. I'm wondering if we were to do attack now we wouldn't lose anything as we've already got rid of all that excess water. Or would we.

@Debs looking back, how long were you doing ADF with no modifications/food restrictions? I know you felt that you stalled, but I had a period where that happened and just sticking with it paid off.

Not fasting again today due to giving blood on Tuesday. Having fasted Friday, I had the choice of fasting again today or Monday, and it makes sense not to fast on a family day.

Morning everyone!!

Hmm muddling Atkins with Dukan? Not sure I did, but I guess they're pretty similar!

I'm feeling pre-ttty pleased with myself today. Yesterday I discovered that my stomach has shrunk so much that I couldn't eat as much as I wanted at tea time! Today my weight was the same as yesterday which means that tomorrow I should weigh...drum roll...11 stone 6! My lowest weight on this way of life so far

By the way, @Carieoates what seafood stick DID you prefer?

Bean :starving:

Ooh, morning @Winsome

You think I'm fiddling too much @Winsome? I dare say you are probably right but I did sabotage myself on my last r&r which didn't help me much.
I probably am a bit impatient but I have the time and space to experiment on myself up here which I wouldn't have the luxury of doing at home.
I know @carieoates, I have done it for a few days and it nearly killed me, so I shall only do it a couple of days and have a 500 cal salad in between!! I decided to try a couple of days after TML said it worked for her, and I am a work in progress. I am even more determined now we have booked our Xmas Polynesian holiday!

I think I liked the "princes" ones. Beany.
But on all honesty I would eat hundreds of them. Now I just don't snack. That's half the battle not snacking Defo reduces the cal intake.
You could chop them up and add them to a prawn salad......... Wait for it I know I like prawns......

My prob these days is I'm just not eating fruit, but I would snack on fruit. Ergo no snacks = no fruit. I've got some almonds and some dried banana chips though. With regards to dukan attack @Debs, I can't do it as the salads, steamed veg and stir fries are essential.

Fair point! I guess that while the food is so rubbish here I have nothing to lose but weight!!!
