Yes @Debs I think if @Ballerina were over there out in the rocky RED desert of W Australia - she would definitely sort out your Fat Friend - and then also the others, including PieMan! Very difficult to imagine Ballerina out there though - she is definitely a metropolitan gal, more suited to the genteel climes of The Balmoral in Edinburgh, or even Claridges or the Wolseley in London, not to mention the South of France - or Rome, her next stop on her Grand Tour round Europe -

Thank you ladies for you supportive comments, they are what keep me battling on. The weight was down slightly this morning after I went to a quiz night last night with the boys! I was plied with red wine as they kept buying bottle after bottle. I had two glasses by which time they didn't notice that I had stopped completely and was just enjoying the chaos!!! Remarkably we won the quiz!
Anyway, had a couple of small chocs and the scales were a but better this morning. So feeling a little better, but frustrated that my mood for the day can be dictated by those nasty little suckers!
Anyway, after discussions with the science nerd extraordinaire, carorees, I am going to concentrate on good fats, so hi ho, it's off to the shops I go!

Good luck Debs :clover:

I managed to fast yesterday for the first time in what seems like weeks. I admit my meal wasn't calorie counted as I had defrosted some casserole before deciding to fast, but I'm not worried, just glad I made it to the end of the day. I feel much more positive about fasting again tomorrow now.

Things on the stress front are still, well, stressful to say the least, but at least I'm not being eaten alive any more :like:

Astonishingly, despite not fasting I've managed to keep my weight under the 12 stone mark; been hovering around a true weight of 11.12 ish. I must be doing something right somewhere along the line. However, I want to see a downward trend again so wish me luck!

My first week of 4:3 which is ADF during the week! This is my second fast day this week and I am hungry. Will need to eat more on feast days I think. My jeans are already a little looser!

Well done @Bobshouse and if you find that the hunger really gets to you, even if you've had a lot of water, try a dash of full fat cream in your coffee....it doesn't stop the fat burning and quells the hunger pangs.

Would have to be creme fraiche....no cream here. If I get desperate I will have a banana as that always helps. I am hungry but keeping busy. One major thing I have learned is not to be scared of hunger!

As nice as bananas are, and full of potassium, they could stop fat burning dead in its tracks, because they are quite high in fructose. Go for the creme fraiche @Bobshouse.....a nice blob of it! I believe you can get single cream in cartons there though and that would do. :clover:

I have been sneaking the odd spoonful of creme fraiche bob! V low carb and very tasty. Also one of the few things I can find that isn't adulterated with things like gelatine to thicken the cream. Urgh.

Still holding out. Been busy cleaning the Gite for first visitors due tomorrow. As I always drink my coffee black not sure I would like it creamy. Will have an oxo drink shortly whilst OH eats his baguette and camembert! Thanks for the advice, all gratefully received on this journey. The idea of fasting three times a week seems madness but it is also empowering to someone who is prone to binge. My switch is back on at last!

I've been out of the loop recently but over the last few months I've definitely found that fasting more often keeps my mind in the right place. As soon I got overwhelmed by life and thought, ok, let's just do 5:2, it all went to pot.

Good luck :like:

Oh good luck with your new visitors to your Gite Bob @Bobshouse (is that name a reference to Bob Monkhouse?) and on your 3 day fast. I'm sure you'd much prefer fasting every other day, though. Makes like so much easier

No I' m Aly, when we first started having ducks we didn't know what sex the duckilngs were so they were all named Bob. My daughter had a sign made for the duck house Bobs, so it became Bobs house. I currently have just a pair called Mr and Mrs Bob. I couldn't use Aly in a username on here as it was already taken so ended up as Bobshouse!

Love the explanation bobshouse, very cute!
Not sure I should be in here currently as I am not really doing ADF but I feel as though it is my natural tent. I am trying very low carb to get myself in the 'zone' as nothing else seems to work. Once I can make a dent in things then I shall go back to ADF, but in the meantime it is very encouraging to see so much success in here! Bean, I haven't had chocolate for four day, and I take my hat off to you :victory:

Thanks, always tricky choosing a user name. I am a Tigger fan too but that was unavailable too!
Having a feast day today but didn't feel hungry when I woke. Am out all morning though so thought it best to eat. It is early days I know but I am surprised at how easy this is. Yes, I am hungry and yes, I am tempted to eat, but knowing I can have what I want tomorrow controls that.
I will never return to WW or the like and am gradually parting with all things WW. You wouldn't beleive how many cookery books I have. This WOE is perfect for me I just have to make it part of my life the way I did with WW.
If you are fasting today, hope all goes well.
