I haven't started a progress chart because in the past I have become too attached to numbers. I love the relaxed approach of 5:2 after years of 'you can't eat that'! My clothes are a good indicator and once the muffin top has gone when wearing my jeans I will know I am getting there. My first goal is to wear my size 12 jeans with a shorter top. They are currently way too tight but I refuse to waste money on a size 14 pair as I am determined to go no bigger!
I' m the same@Bobshouse ..i' m still too attached to numbers ..so i don't do the tracker, and i've stopped getting on the scales too..i can get too control freaky and " all or nothing" -y...which is the whole reason why i' m so fat..coz in the past if i haven't been " perfect" ive given up totally for months
Hopefully am more balanced now!
It's brill that you're in size 12s x stick with yr 5:2 and before you know it, not only will yr size 12s be roomier but the muffin will have vanished :like: :victory: X
The weird thing is my size 12 skirts fit ok as do the legs of my skinny jeans it is my waistline that is too big for the jeans! At the moment big sweat shirts cover the sins but with warmer weather coming I want to wear T shirts!
Maybe a Spot of hula hooping will whittle that waist@Bobshouse
Or those old fashioned exercises where you bend to the left putting right arm over head and vice versa..if that makes sense :?: x
Will feel so great when youre going out in yr jeans and little tops.i suppose you could get away with nice floaty thin tops ?they might hide the muffin as it shrinks? X
I have some floaty tops I used to wear with leggings. Too fat for my leggings now! Have been reading up on cutting carbs. Think I may give that a go although it is hard here, the French are addicted to bread!
I love my carbs Bob..@Bobshouse..specially bread..
I'd rather have a slice of really good bread n butter than a cake..
I think i read somewhere that sourdough bread is less carby..
I so admire the low carb folk here in their lowcarbers tent, not sure i will ever be eligible..BUT bob, dont forget,we cant fix everything all at once
I bet if youre a 12 and can wear skinny jeans, you can wear leggings!
I have several prs squirrelled away but aside from wearing them in winter underneath trousers, i doubt very much they' ll see the light of day again..
My legs are very chunky now but 5:2 has helped..lost more from legs than my trunk.x
My problem is I am only 5' 3" so every extra pound shows! At the moment I feel like I am as round as tall!
Tell me about it Bob! MeToo...five three but losing height ..think am nearer five two and a bit now Gahhhhhhh! Yes am as wide as i am tall, almost  how ghastly!
At last a soul mate!
Soul mates and soul sisters! :like:
Oops ive done it again,as in the song ..had a great fast day yesterday, spot on 500 cals..then today, eating all the wrong things and too many of them....Why? I didnt used to do this..i would keep to my TDEE or under on most feed days..HOW can i get back out of this awful habit?and where did it come from....
Hellllllllllllp! Someone please! X
I think maybe planning what you are eating on feed days could help. If I know what I am having I tend to stick to it. It is when there is no plan I pig out.
OH has gone out for the evening and I am on my own. Always dangerous but the dogs have come and snuggled up with me and I don't want to disturb them!
I think youre right Bob @Bobshouse ..planning ahead is the key and thats what i was doing when i was doing "good" feed days and losing weight. Thanks for reminding me..
The other thing i must keep remembering is to think " replenish" on feed days and have nourishing food instead of cr**! X

I started off being good on non fast days but now I just want to eat everything that's bad for me. In not looking forward to weighing. Today is a fast day again and it doesn't feel right as I fasted Tuesday instead of Monday. I think ADF would be difficult.
I've only just noticed this tent. I've lost enough so surgery could take place, I lost 40lb for that and still fitting in the same clothes. I still need to lose another 100 pounds or 7 stone to be at my target weight, even 80lbs would be nice.
being post op and feeling very negative about near enough everything at the moment (apart from today because its my birthday) through pain and frustration, medicine withdrawal symptoms, not being able to stick to a fast because my body want more to help with healing and knowing I have my holiday and my daughters return in 4 months is getting me down. I also pulled a thigh muscle the second day I was allowed back into exercise which means I'm still on the injuries bench so can't get the feel good hormones generated.

So I'm still very fat, feeling old, I can feel the muscles shrinking and the fat growing and I am eating rubbish again. Grrr!
