Oh Julie, how do I get rid of the surreal image you have just planted in my wee soft brain?

Ballerina x

How come I hadn't worked that one out I tried all last week. Sue
this old age thingy will come to you one day x
Merry Christmas to everyone. May we all spend it in peace and harmony surrounded by our loved ones. It is late afternoon Christmas Eve here in Australia, I have done all the food prep that I can do ahead of time for tomorrows dinner and now I have my aching feet up, and my head in the computer:)

Sounds like you deserve to put your feet up! My day is just starting. Merry Christmas to you!
So,Christmas is over, but are you little minxes still getting tempted by " stuff"?
I know i am..my repair day meal has been eaten without a calorie to spare..
All i have left is DUCK..a * duck under the table!*
My mouth wants to keep on chewing even tho my tum feels fairly satisfied..
Was going to make a 40 cal hot choc, cheating a bit i know...
But horror of horrors ive got none left! Like Mother Hubbard,my cupboard is bare ( of 40 cal drinks anyways) ...
Not too much temptation here - a Panettone (don't like), some liqueur chocs (ditto), a box of Thorntons which we are going to save for Easter (we ended up with 2 at Xmas, 2 mini-xmas cakes - can have a slice on a feast day and that's about it really. I have got some low-cal choc in the cupboard but seem to have gone off it lately....
Still being very tempted by a box of fudge with caramel and sea salt ...
Christmas cake here. If I just eat the last piece (luckily I don't eat the icing) it can be GONE and won't bother me again. But, I've already had two pieces today already, plus garlic bread for lunch. (I am dropping out of the low carb thread as I just can't do it).
I darent show my face in the lowcarb tent Julie..i feel too much of an impostor!
Struggling nuff as it is without adding LowCarb Stress to the equation
Had self up the wall last week re dropping carb but Cally managed to calm me down

Me too Candice, I desperately wanted to drop the carbs last week and it really didn't happen. I could try again this week but I see it won't happen.

I started to have a look at Amanda Salis' research and found this very useful summary written for lay people of her work:
