This is so my favourite tent. Just need to work out how to get my babies on here.

so I finally got my two sweethearts to the vet for their vaccinations. Mimei-chan weighs 3.95 kg, but poor little Sumi-chan weighs only 3.15 kg. The vet said she is too skinny and I should feed her more. As it is, she already eats her sister's food--the little dollop of moist food they get every morning. (They both have access all day and night to dry food.) She's always been smaller than sister. She has a tiny head and tiny paws--maybe it's just genetic??

A friend suggested feeding her cat formula to fatten her up a bit. I'm sure she'd love it if I gave her sashimi, eggs, and cheese instead. She seems healthy, at least, so I'm not too worried...

This was taken before Christmas, so Izzy has grown a bit and no longer fits in the shelf! She is still a cutie though.
We are fostering her. At the end of the year she will go to an autistic kid to keep him/her safe on the street. Thats assuming she gets over her car nerves enough to pass the programme!

Yip @chook, I am with you on that! I have been in nearly every thread except this one thinking it was all about football!

I've posted this pic in another thread but here is my Bethie again. Her official name is Kalame Beth Shemesh. She has retired from breeding duties now. The cattery I got her from ( for free!) doesn't like to overbreed their cats as they believe every cat deserves to have a good home where they can sleep on the bed and be cossetted. Beth retired when she was about 3 and a half and came to be my furry companion. Here she is with her last kitties. So cute!

scubachick - she is cute beyond description. Must be tough to tie her up, but then again - she will do soooo much good in her next home

But so worth it when you finally got bored enough to dip in!!! That's how I read quite a lot of interesting things that I don't really think I'm going to find interesting!!

Morning everyone! I'm hoping for some advice from my saggy friends. I'm just popping out to get some new food for my dog Poppy who has recently been sick on her Fishy Fish Pie with peas. This contains turkey and as she is intolerant to chicken I wonder if that is why. So I thought I'd get her either, beef and potatoes, lamb hotpot or venison and rabbit. I've heard that venison and rabbit is good for sensitive Timmy's. Has anyone heard this?

Would appreciate a quick response...if anyone is up!!

Awe, poor poochie xx
Do you mean 'proper meat' as in 'from a butcher', bean, or as it comes in a tin?

What was she eating before? I think I'd stick to that, rather than go experimenting. How old is she?

She's 8 and I mean tin food from Lily's Kitchen. She's just ALWAYS hungry and as a result eats things she shouldn't (scavenger!) and keeps moaning! I thought venison might be good. I've recently given her "bedtime biscuit" which is supposed to relax them for the night as it contains, camomile. It could be that or her toothpaste but I suspect the chicken is the culprit. So difficult

At 8, she should be on 'geriatric' or senior dog food, as it's better formulated to their kidney function.
I know you've had a dog food epiphany, beanster, but maybe the tinned variety is just too rich for her delicate tummy.
I'd investigate some of the 'quality makes' of dried senior dog food and see if you can get some samples for her. I do worry that some of the tinned varieties appeal more to the guilt consciences of the owners than the tummies of our girls.

@nursebean reading back, I see your beloved pooches were put on a prescribed diet by your vet/nurse. Before buying yet more rich food, please go back to your vet and discuss this. The foods first mentioned are carefully formulated for just the kinds of conditions older pooches face xx
