Thanks for all the work Moogie..... the site is just too fussy and yes there is too much yellow.

I hear your pain and sense you don't like I either. Bills have got be paid I guess.

I haven't been into the progress tracker again yet....

[quote="gillymary"]Also find the yellow band moves down when you tag a person and obscures the whole row of the above buttons, so if you want to tag a second person you can't unless you stab away at the yellow band then you might get lucky and it moves. It is a strange glitch

I find that when the yellow banner 'drops down' thus obscuring a lot of the page, if you scroll back up and click on any of the functions it goes back up again leaving you free to continue BUT you then have to remove the parenthesis which you have created but didn't want but you can do it as often as you like so multiple tags are possible but time consuming. Did that all make sense? It drives me insane, as if I don't have enough problems as it is

Ballerina x

P.S. Just had to do it to be able to add my heart smilie.....grrrrr......

Are you in the middle of a change, because the experience on my tablet since sometime this afternoon is jerky. When I pick a topic it the page of posts comes up normal, then goes narrow and a grey area takes up half the width, then the grey area disappears and the display is normal. Happens after adding a post, doing a thank or moving between pages. Annoying. Kindle Fire HD/ Silk browser.

Hi @hari-b How many weigh-ins have you entered? I think that you need to have at least one apart from your starting stats before the progress tracker can show anything. If you have already input some weigh-in data then we need @Moogie to have a look for you.

Is there a fix (or I just kind find what I'm looking for) for seeing a list of your posts and whether someone has commented on it? I have (after a bit of searching) found where I can view all of my posts, but I can't see if anyone has commented since!
Cheers

Hi @Karenm
You can either tick the box for "notify me when a reply is posted" when you write your post (it is below the save draft/preview/submit buttons). The you will get an email or a PM (depending on your settings in the user control panel) when someone replies. But that way you might get a LOT of notifications!

Alternatively, you can click on "view unread posts" which is in the same menu panel as you found the 'view your posts' link, although this list does not show only your posts, it does list all the threads with replies that you haven't read yet.

Finally, if you look at the 'view your posts' list you will see that some threads have a solid blue icon next to them, the others are white with a blue outline. The threads with the solid blue icon are those that have new replies you haven't read yet.

In either of the two lists I mentioned above, if you click on the small square/rectangular icon next to the thread title it will take you to the first of the unread posts.

Hope that helps!

Almost two weeks ago, I lost the ability to logout. I was away for a few days, so thought it might be fixed by the time I got back. I have sent a pm to Jason and Paul, but several days later, still no joy. I am permanently logged in.

Am I missing something obvious??

I don't know! If I want to log out I click on the menu (if on a mobile) or the head icon on the far right of the yellow menu bar and go to 'sign out' and click on that. This brings up the home page with a welcome message and the "sign up it's free" and "login" links on the top right.

What are you seeing/doing?

@carorees I must be looking in the wrong menu as I don't have those options! Will do a bit more searching :geek:

Hi Carorees

Thanks for that information. I did not know you could logout that way (via the head icon that is). Up till about two weeks ago, I had a logout option at the top of the page, in the line where it showed your user control panel/messages/etc, then it just disappeared.
I'm a bit disappointed that no-one replied to my pm sent to Jason & Paul about 5 days ago, to tell me this.
I can now successfully login and logout again.

Hello everyone

We have set up a new way for anyone who has problems with the forum or progress tracker to alert the moderators and admin staff about it. Instead of just sending a PM to an individual moderator or Moogie, you can now email forum@fastday.com

Any of the moderators/admin staff can see and respond to your email or forward it to the right person who can deal with it. This way we will be able to respond more quickly and hopefully more efficiently!

The notify me when a reply is posted option is below the box you type in to reply to a thread:

The other options are to the left of the screen at the top of the page when you are viewing on a PC:

or at the bottom of the screen when viewing on a tablet or phone or small screen

Um, please, when I make a comment in 'post reply' and add a smiley, the yellow bar descends and covers it all up so I can't add anything further, and however much I poke the dratted thing it won't go away! (iPad, Safari)
It's rather frustrating :0(

Hi @Azureblue
Yes, I'm sorry about that...the tech team know about this have been working all week on a general revamp of the site so the whole thing works better on mobile devices and so this problem with the menu bar should be sorted when they make their changes 'live'. I'm not sure exactly when that will be as they have to test it all out to make sure it works on as many of the myriad of devices and browsers and operating systems that we all use! I hope it will be next week but, as you know, we don't have a full time tech team all to ourselves  so things are slower than we'd like.

I hope you can bear with us as it will be sorted soon!
