Re: Auriga's progress.

I'm so happy for you, Auriga  It must have been great/surprising to find out you're smaller than you thought

I used to wear "big" size 12, bordering on 14 which I was in denial of. I still can't believe I can now fit into skinny 28" jeans and size 10 tops. It's something still quite new to me

Thank you @gorba...it is rather weird trying on smaller sizes, I had to almost force myself to take them off the rail!
This may sound a bit boastful, I hope not, I am just so amazed that's all. I have never been a size 8/10 before: I was a chubby teenager (very unhappy really), a chubby twenty year old, up & down in my thirties and pretty big in my forties & fifties...well life begins at sixty now they say...I am a pretty happy 63yr old. BUT....I do mourn the fact that I would have given my right arm to be like this in my youth. With age comes wisdom.

What a great feeling that must have been Auriga! Any chance of some pics in your new gear? Your BMI is already in the healthy range so do you still feel that you want to go lower and lose more weight? x

Thanks @callyanna for your post.
No pictures, because I prefer to remain anonymous....I'm too well known!
My BMI may very well be in the healthy range, but I still have a lot of fat round my middle...my waist is hanging on to it at 74cm! Always the last place to go with me.
Have a great day callyanna....bye for now. :victory:

That's brilliant @AurigaSee you soon in the mainteneers tent. However, I do have a confession with regard to both the valentines day challenge and the mainteneers tent........

Shhhhhh just between us........ I have been on holiday for 5 days and have put on 3lb. I was really good(ish) but it was the afternoon coffee and cakes that did for me. Man, they were good and not to be missed, so I don't mind putting the 3lb on. Does my face look bovvered? Nah, I will get back to 5:2 on Monday. No problem but it does go to show that the weight goes back on easily if you don't stay on top of it. I don't know about you but my TDEE is so shockingly low now there is no room for complacency.

That's our little secret then, @wendy darling and @auriga and what's a few pounds between friends?

Oh you naughty thing @Wendy Darling! Obviously led astray by Tinkerbell & her fairy friends! But I won't tell......
My TDEE is 1500 now and that's not a lot when the cheese and red wine comes out on Friday night. I have to be really careful that I don't eat the same amount as my OH otherwise I would be in trouble! He's 6'1" and can eat a LOT more than me. However.....cheers for later! :drink:

Yippeeeeeeeeeeee 55.9k today! Into the 55k zone....unknown territory here...I think I may have been about 13 years old (half a century ago) the last time I weighed 8 stone something....I know by the time I was 15 years old I was overweight at 10 stone and unhappy. If only I could talk to my teenage self and tell her it would all end up really well for her...no forum then. We are so lucky now you know!!! Crikey I am welling up, so I am going to stop now.
