11th fast day today and it has been the easiest so far, so hoping I have turned a corner and my body is becoming more efficient. Had a really busy day so that has probably helped and done lots of exercise so hoping for a good result on thursday weigh day.
Have noticed I keep having little bouts of what feels like gastric reflux on fast days. Dont think its that ketosis thingy so maybe its just because the tank is empty?
Hi I just wanted to say I enjoy reading your posts, they are so funny and lovely the way you encourage fellow fasters, well done on your loss it really is fantastic, keep going.
Aww thanks Jennifer! That is so lovely of you to say! Glad you enjoy the posts. Hope your fast days are going well!
12th fast day today. Just finished work at job number one and normally I have major hunger pangs by now but I havent today. Hmmm wonder why that is? I hope this is still working! :?:
Might be a good sign...ketones are supposed to suppress appetite and if you are making ketones you must be burning fat!
I hope that is what it is! I keep checking to see if I have bad breath (and actually hoping I do...strange!) but I havent noticed any. Fingers crossed I am burning fat!
Well its been a strange day. Have done 14 hr shift with not really a break so that may have something to do with it! On a non-fast day but have had no appetite. Not really had time to eat since breakfast but havent missed it. Only lost a lb this week but clothes feel much looser so must try on my tight pair of jeans tomorrow to see if they fit any better.
I love your posts horseygal my belly my rumbling after 4th 500cal day. Its now made me want to keep going and get these lbs gone for good!
Just curious..how much weight loss is a stone? :-)
a stone is equivalent to 14 lbs I believe
lol..I guess it's better to be overweight in stones than pounds to an unknowing Yankee.
Thanks Queenie, glad you like the posts!
Most recent fast day was Wednesday and Thursday was a horrendously long day between two jobs with literally no time to eat. Ended up a bit 'wired' by the end of it. Had managed to eat a cheese sandwich on Thursday evening but even then I had to force it down. This meant on Friday I had no appetite at all. Much happier just drinking liquids. However evening meal of a big plate of homemade BBQ ribs helped me feel better! I know, I know, giant plate of meat probably isn't the best thing but they're just soooo yummmmmmy! Saturday I skipped breakfast as had an early start but made up for it with a pub lunch. Finally getting my appetite back and have had a great big bacon butty for breakfast and leftover cottage pie for a late lunch as I am in work very soon so probably wont have chance to eat much later and fast day again tomorrow.
Lost a lb last week and tried tight jeans on again as other clothes felt looser but jeans felt the same as before. I guess my body changes in fits and starts so will persevere. Did notice today I have patches of what can only be described as flobbley (that is the scientific term you know.. :geek: ) bits which I am hoping is the fat cells getting smaller, or releasing water, or whatever it is they do before you shrink again. Well that is my story and I'm sticking to it!
Ha I like your scientific word! Glad I came online its my fast day today and nearly blewit by eating a packet of french fries crisps! But im not going to cave! I will count the 88 cals and soilder on today. Thinking of planning my treats for 2morro hopefully that will get me through today. I found the last 4 fast days easy I domt know why im struggling today!
Third week was my hardest week too as kept eating my bodyweight in unhealthy food on non-fast days. I am also thinking of what I can eat tomorrow! Also had the idea of what I am going to treat myself to when another half a stone has gone. Im thinking a tub of ben and jerrys is on the cards!
At least if one fast day goes wrong, it can be changed to another day. I have resisted blowing a fast day so far, although it is tempting. However I planned fast days when im busy at work with no opportunity to eat so I dont even think about it. I definitely find fast days much easier now as I barely think about food now when before its all I could think about!
Horseygal, I LOVE your posts! What an inspiration - I'm cruising the forum for motivation as I'm on a fast day and am starving (350 cal dinner in 1 hour and 10 mins!!!)
Please don't stop posting, I want to hear more about ponies & pub lunches and your fabulous weight loss :-)
You're doing SO SO well! (adding my good-natured jealousy to your stone weight loss)
I'm new and only 1.5 fast days in... I tried to start last Monday but I only made it til 6pm and then ate a whole pepperoni pizza and a tub of Ben & Jerry's choc chip cookie dough... OOOPS! So, I'm counting from last Wednesday as first proper fast day.
I'm really excited about baking again as I can now have treats on feed days. I have a food addiction - and will take quantity over quality most days!! hopefully this WOE will change that!
