I'm so pleased that I reached my goal weight today with the 5:2 diet in the time I wanted. 6kgs or a stone in 8 weeks. I didn't have much to lose so thought it might be slower. I think the main thing is that I'm much more aware of what I'm eating now and like to feel hungry - I don't just eat for the sake of it anymore. Good luck to everyone else, I hope it is as easy for you. I'm on maintenance from now on
Congratulations!
Congratulations Susan, inspiration for the rest of us. I hope to join you in that nirvana called 'maintenance' in a few weeks, fingers crossed.
That is excellent news.
Well done you!
Still I only have another 42lb to go!!! (Sake!)

Good going, congratulations!! Interested to hear how the maintenance thing works out, keep us posted if you will!
Congrats! I also started maintenance this week and by this I mean. 6:1. Is there any data out there from other people on 6:1?
Well Done thats a great result x
What great news. Congratulations.
Great news! Well done.
Congratulations!
Thanks! I will happily post about progress - not sure if Moogie is going to create a separate forum section or not for 'maintenance' whether it be 6:1 or something else.
This forum was a huge help particularly in weeks 2 & 3 when I lost nothing and started to get frustrated. But the diet worked for me. But even on non fast days I was careful - if I went out for lunch it would be salad or something very light in the evening, if I ate biscuits/cake/chocolate in the day I'd skip lunch. You just can't eat as much in your forties as you can when you are younger. It's all a question of balance. And when you are hungry food tastes much better.

Congratulations! You are such an inspiration. I dont have a lot to lose just like you so I must be really careful on my feast day too. After a month I dont see much results but after hearing about your success I will keep going.
Well done brilliant news xx
