I'm a bit late to the party, make room, big 'un coming through. I can be 69kg for Xmas 2015 according to my tracker, is that good enough for club entry? If its not, I'm just going to sit down and drink the wine anyway.

I just want my trend to keep going down. It seems to be stuck like a scratched record at the moment. Just when I feel I may have lost some weight, I go and do something energetic and pile on sore muscle and water weight. But month on month its still going down at a respectable rate. If I was aiming for something specific it would be.... 230lbs or approximately 104kg.
Sallyo wrote: #26 here. I've been a monthly weighing girl but have stuck to the club rules and done a daily weigh each day this week. Imagine my surprise to find myself on Wednesday morning at the lowest weight since beginning on 5:2 in April!!! I started at 78 kg and yesterday I was all the way down to 71.5. I know lots of you have lost a lot more weight, a lot wicker than I have. But for me it's been very slow and I have had to be very philosophical. I am so encouraged to know I'm still trending downwards. I was a dubious club member , but now if feel totally committed to the concept. After 6 months I was starting to feel somewhat jaded, but now my enthusiasm is being reserrected! I didn't even have any carrot cake tonight because I WASN'T HUNGRY!!!

Hello Sally number 26! thanks for switching to daily i know it can be onerous. im like some robot in the morning these days. i wander around for about 10 minutes in case i need to "go to the toilet".. sorry for detail.. but its just in case i have more weight to shed. lol. then i discard all clothing (to undies) and hop on the scales which is in same spot in back room (my daughter complained about this once when she caught me in my undies! ) anyway i continue to do it the same way for past 6 months.

then i write whatever down on my fridge for me and everyone to see.

whoohoo to 71.5 and your positive thoughts since joining the club.. funny cause thats the number ive been trying to get to all week. got as low as 71.6 so you are one notch better than I. i know i have about 16 notches to go to get to 69 point somethign and no i have to be extra good. now me eating a bit of charcoal chicken (thats lebanese style chicken) at midnight last night probably didnt help but it was there. anyway its fast day today so ill be extra good to compensate.

did you just mention carrot cake. thats one of my favourite cakes and ive been meaning to try a few recipes out but thats been for like 6 months. life goes too fast.. probably cause i spend too much time in the forum haha

carorees wrote: Thought I was doing well but going to my niece's wedding on Saturday seems to have thrown a spanner in the works and my weight has been all over the place!

Thursday 3rd: 74.9
Friday 4th: 74.7
Saturday 5th: 74.7 (before the wedding feast!)
Sunday 6th: 75.2 (after the wedding feast!)
Monday 7th: 74.9
Tuesday 8th: 74.5 (hurrah!)
Wednesday 9th: 75.0 (WTF??)
Thursday 10th: 75.0 (sigh)

And this is doing 16:8 with one fast day (yesterday) so rather disappointed not to see a decrease this morning!

Carorees you see to have a 1/2 kilo range which is normal i think. It sounds like for you you dont want to see that 75 number again. with 16:8 and fast sounds like you have the right tools. Let us know how you go next week in only being 74 point something. you might see a 74.4 in there or even 74.2. What is your lowest weight since I.F ever?
#13 checking in. I haven't looked at this thread for a couple of days. We are busy fitting our new kitchen at the moment and hopefully by 21st Oct I will have a cooker, cupboards and worktops! I have ordered myself a soup maker to go with the new kitchen.

For the last wee while I have been weighing myself daily in whole lbs but reading what you have been saying Juliana I am going to switch my scales to kg so I can watch the 100g's coming off. I'll start recording the data tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.....I'm hoping it will help get me off the plateau
Just a thought .. for all in the club.. thoughts of "this is depressing me
or "im really disappointed" are not allowed in the club if you are not attaining some goal.

Those negative thoughts have to tranforsm to a positive and determined resolve to get downwards in weight and upwards in health.

I know easier said than done but it's good to change the mindset to a really buoyant, forward looking and confident one.

new kitchen and soup maker sounds great.

yep the 100g notches are a great metric to work with.

i have 15 x 100g to go by chrissie.
New kitchens rock. When I started the 5:2 diet in April we were in the throws of getting a new kitchen. It's now well finished and we are loving it! Cooking is such a joy.

im jealous (not really but in a funny way) .. ive been talking about a new kitchen now for 3 years. even got plans done a year ago after perusing about 30 kitchen magazines.

life is so complicated!

This time next year im determined to be

a) at 68kg or thereabout which is my goal weight
b) cooking in a new kitchen like you.

cheers
Ok, sign me up!

I've been hovering between 74.3 and 75.5 kg the last 3 weeks after a good start, frustrating but possibly down to hormonal fluctuations. I dipped below 74 this morning, just (!), so things are on the move again. Not sure I'll dip below by 70 by the deadline but I'll have a damn good go at it.
No. 7 reporting in. Today I hit a new low and for the first time the scales read 70kg. 70.8Kg to be precise :victory:

What a great way to start a Friday  Might be a wee bit more wiggle room in the tent now

:clover: to all 69ers

Welcome aboard Vildehkaya! Member number 39.

yep why not have a go. I guess even if you got to 70 you will be pleased as its like 30 notches (a notch is my word for 100g. )

This cheered me up today, as suffering from the mother of all colds + throat and ears hurting  :dazed:  third day like this ...

But as always - stuff on the forum to keep the laughs coming :rotfl:  ooh my ribs hurt :dazed:
Hi Wildmissus,

Great to hear about the new kitchen, did you go with the induction hob in the end? Also, how does a soup maker work, never heard of one of those, I usually throw veg at hubs and before long lovely soup is in front of me but I'm sure this not how your new toy will work, can't wait to hear,

Ballerina x
